  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What is the strangest/hard use task you put a folding knife to?

I push cut zipties into steel truck frames. I would really call it knife abuse though, just edge abuse. I will do some light prying but Im smart about it, I know when to go get a screwdriver...:concern:I mean prybar

Strangest: Used a CS Recon 1 to stab a cockroach.
Hardest: Used an Enlan EL-04 to cut through pressed cardboard. . .on a stone table.

Jammed the side of a blade (by the spine) against a small nut to hold it while I unscrewed the bolt. Didn't have any thing else to grip it with.
It was a DLC Para 2, and the wee nut turned a couple of faces before I got it to loosen. That DLC is a mean coating, it wasn't noticeably scratched at all.
OK not really hard use, but hard on the blade coating.
