What is the strongest most reliable lock?

JQ I was really hoping you would see that post.

I have had about a dozen different types of folder locks; from serious to shadey. I have grown to love the locks of all REKAT products. However, I have only carried these pieces for 6 months or so. I carried Spyderco's for YEARS, and even though I rarely put these pieces through rough tasks other then some heavy sawing, THEY WERE TREMEDOUSLY RELIABLE.

I only had one jammage-a Native locked open and wouldn't close. Turned out to be lint in the lock, a little WD-40 and a drop of all-in-1 oil, and all was fine.

For cost effective reliability, go with a Spydie, otherwise, if money no object, go with the C.R. or any REKAT.

In terms of bang for the buck...REKAT Pioneer in Tanto config is my current fav!

Well, titanium doesn't wear extremely well, but nothing will happen as a surprise and it won't fail in a way which allows the blade to fold if it's just worn to much to be tight against the blade, as the bar is wide enough.

That simple is good I fully agree with.

I'm of the opinion that reliable is much more important than strong. A folder isn't particularily strong when it comes to bending and twisting, so it doesn't have to be magnitudes stronger against closing.
