I second the HEST. If you want a knife that can take a lot of abuse the HEST is it. It is about .18 inches thick has a ti framelock and the blade is D2. Very good knife. Just a bit heavy though, but that is the price you have to pay for a thick blade.
Think only one person mentioned it so far, but I will also recommend the Boker Plus Albatros.
Has a 5 mm (0.197" ) thick hollow ground 2.5" blade, it's one tank of a knife. Titanium framelock. Been carrying it for the past few days. Only complaint so far is that it's a bit on the heavy side (whopping 6 ounces for a small 2.5" bladed knife) because of all that metal in the blade
