What is the thinnest 3.5" knife on the market???

Check out the Mercator K55K (carbon steel) or if you prefer a one-hander with a pocket clip and stainless steel, the Al Mar Ultralights are excellent knives...

Good luck, OP! :)

This, or Douk Douk. Agrussel lightknives should be thin too.

the Kershaw Knockout is a nice thin knife. it has a 3 1/4 blade and weighs 3.4oz. As others have said the BM 530 is another great super light/thin knife.

here is a comparison

Spyderco Centofante has a 2mm thick blade. It is 3.125" long so it's a little shorter than what you want. That's what I would pick if I wanted a thin knife over 3" long.

I agree with Scurvy. William Henry has lots of light knives, including many with Damascus. If you have the funds there are lots of options in the sub 3.5 inch range. The EDC, Gentac and Spearpoint all come to mind.

The Opinel may have a thin blade, but the handles are round and therefore bulky.

The blade length is only 3-1/8" but if you want thin, don't overlook the AG Russell Featherlite.

Yeah, you're right. I was thinking of thin blade, but upon re-reading the original post, the OP was looking for a thin knife overall.

Thanks guys!!!
i have the 540 bench made, trying to get something similar but think... loved the kershaw breakout size...

I like to carry thin knives too. I love and have already sung the praises of the the mercator k55, my usual edc, especially when i don't want to lose/mess up a more expensive blade. I carry mine tip up in the watch pocket of my jeans, i can flick it open one handed and close it one handed as well, although closing is more awkward. I also trust the lock, can't see it failing unless you did something crazy. Another excellent choice (that I'm surprised nobody beat me to) i feel would be a stainless handled Endura, it's much thinner than the frn handled ones. A little heavy, which i like. i appreciate the stouter blade sometimes as well, but sometimes i wish FFG was an option on the stainless ones.

forgot you said light too. the stainless handled endura might not be what you had in mind. still, easy to carry.

Benchmade 530 Pardue, Not sure if someone has mentions this one yet... It runs 1.88 oz. It's 3.5 in. and very thin!

William Henry E10. Hands down and nothing is close.

3.5 in blade with 3.25 inch cutting edge.

1.6 ounces.

+1 to this. I like my Al Mar ultra lights, but I prefer the E10. It's a bonus to me that it also comes with a deep carry clip that looks quite a lot like a pen clip as well.

They come in different inlay flavors too, here's one of mine:
