What is this double bit?

Just spotted this on kijiji, he is asking 30 bucks. He says there is some marking he can't make out, anyone know what it is and what a fair price for it would be?

Just taking a WAG ! My guess it is 3.5 lb. double bit. After a good brushing with an angle grinder or a two day soak in vinegar you may find a makers mark on it. Rust yes, but it doesn't appear to be deeply pitted. As it is not identified, it's worth $5 to $10 bucks without a handle. You can find a new Council Tool d-bit for around $59.

It could be a diamond in the ruff or a very common double bit. I say it can be restored.
Watch Ebay for a nicer one with a handle..you should be able to find one for $30 in better condition.

Yeah, Ebay is great but shipping to Canada would make the price add up quick.
I really want a nice flint edge Kelly Works or something similar.

I'd say $5 with no markings. I just did my first one and it started out worse so I think that one would turn out good.



I didn't mean to attach the thumbnail, but I don't know how to get rid of it. The head that I used is the last one on the left.
