I have recently acquired a dull, rusty, old as dirt military sabre.
I would like some help identifying this weapon. It was given to me by my grandmother for my 14th birthday and she told be that it has been sheathed and sitting in her cellar for over 50 years! I can tell that this is an American military sabre because of the ornate etchings on the blade. It also has some English writing on the blade. Please help me find what this dull blood stained blade is and when it was from
