I've had this for sometime but I can't remember what the scale material is or what it was called. Can anyone help me out?

Case had a "Holstein Cow" series. It looks like a version of that.

The "oh dang, something really hosed up in the dye process" scales? Just kidding! :p :) They're pretty wild.

The material is bone, just like any other normal scale.

I think that one was Cheetah. I have the same knife in the Zebra pattern. It's smooth bone with the pattern laser-burned into the surface.

I just found a picture of another one and it is Leopard bone. The knife is like the Cheetah pattern, but the Cheetah has a swing guard.

It's leopard bone. That's a great looking knife with and unusual handle. I like it a lot. With that Wharncliffe blade I'll be on it if I find one like it. It is a Copperlock, probably a large one, but can't be sure without a scale to measure by.

You are correct that it's the large size. The closed length is 4 3/16". I have another one of the same pattern and blade but different handle material somewhere. I just have to take the time to dig it out and see just what it is. I've been looking for more, but they aren't easy to find. There are plenty out there with the clip point blade though.

Interesting looking knife. That Wharncliffe blade is rare on the Copperlock. I just scrolled through 210 of them on an on-line auction site and only one was a Wharncliffe.

I just located my other one. It's Cranberry Bone. the date on the box is 2002. I wonder if they quit offering them with that blade?

I seem to remember Cheetah also.

I just did an internet search and found the exact knife on a website as a discontined model. I won't post their picture, but here's the description.
