What is virtual memory ?

Thank you guys a whole bunch, this will help I'm sure. I think this computer was and is the low end model. What's really a shame is I have no games or anything that is what is usually on most computers (except what came on it installed).

It's a shame it won't run any faster than this..............and one thing that drives me nuts, is every time I turn it on, a warning pops up saying "no firewall" is on, I check and it always says it's on......

It can be improved upon. I wouldn't be too down about it. Pop in some more RAM, get rid of things you don't need, and it should be running faster.

As for games, you can download some free ones or play some online. If you give us the kind of games you're interested in, maybe people could offer suggestions. Just be careful about what you download.

There are other ways to make your machine faster as well. A faster hard drive, new CPU...

With regards to Windows Annoyance Center (oops I mean 'Security Center') you can disable the warnings. Open it up and on the left you should see "Change the way Security Center alerts me". Click it and uncheck anything you don't want it to harass you about.

K.V., It is running wonderful now it seems, I ran that "webroot" (thanks Temper) and it seems to have really did some magical things. Yes it did change the print on mine too, but it seems sharper and easier to read for me. It honestly seems weird but it is like it did clean my windows.

The thing it fixed instantly was page loading seems to pop open now like it did when I first got the computer. I don't think it's in my head either because everything seems so much faster.
