What is you favorite Buck knife and why?

Geez, that's a tuffy. Right now I'd say as far as traditional models go my new 154CM Model 110 and my 119 Special are tied. For what I consider a non-traditional Buck I'd opt for my Mayo TNT carbon fiber or Buck/Stride 880 SP. Of course the new one I got yesterday, (photos in the tomorrow's SPS) may change that;)

just want to hear about some of peoples favorite bucks. thanks:cool:

The first thing that pops into my head is the 110, followed closely by the 532, 500, old style Kalinga, etc. etc., then something else popped into my head. :D

What pattern of Buck is ALWAYS in my pocket without fail? One or other of my 301's. I may or may not have a 110 or other Buck on me but I ALWAYS have a 301 in my pocket,so looking at it that way...............................hmmm!

One of the top four in this picture are with me all the time.

Bought 5 customs in the last two weeks. Have to think about it for a while. Guess it would be a 110 in some form or fashion though! I really like some of those smaller ones in the above post. Might have to look into those too!

The only thing that keeps one of these from going with me like the other 301's is the lack of a sheepsfoot blade. I tend to get more use out of that one than the clip point main blade.

I always come back to the 532 as my favorite. I like a lock back, especially with the 532's mid lock on the handle. I really prefer a "bare headed" 532 witrh an elk handle. For a pocket carry when it's not conducive to carry a 532 in a sheath, I like the 55 with Nickel Silver bolsters

 Wow Rusty, I would have bet that your favorite would have been something in the 700 series!:)

I have to say first would be one of my drop point 110's with any steel . The plum paperstone may be 1st but the others are 'real' close . Second, would be the Heritage Series Duke . That knife is a real favorite, the right size, correct shaped blade and enough handle to look dressy for a user . DM

I don't always have one in my pocket, but I carry a 301 more frequently than I carry anything else.

The first mental image that pops into my head when I hear the word "knife" is the image of a 301 or 303.

I like the model 186 because of its modularity. I can insert premium blades, Selector blades, and custom blades. The knife can be used with or without the tool and/or the belt clip. The finger grooves fit my hand perfectly. The 110 clip point blade has a very useful shape. The knife lend itself to modification as well as cleaning. The parts are indestructible and replaceable (in case they're lost). What's not to like?

Large folder;
Sambar Stag 110 with S30V blade.

Pocket folder:
The Canoe Moose built for A.G. Russell Knives by Buck. Spear Point blade is 154CM and the Wharncliffe blade is S30V. (I actually have the Mastodon handled one that didn't make it to A.G. Russell and sold as a 'second').

Fixed:
AG Vanguard S30V or
Jaguar Kalinga

Well, if you go by what I use the most, it would be a two dot 110. If you go by what I like the most, it would be my folding Alpha Hunter, BP Alpha Dorado and my two dot 110's...

OK, if I really must choose, it is my BP Alpha Dorado by a nose.;)

I have many and have been using Buck knives for over 40 years. My current favorites are ones I haven't actually used yet. My 805SS and my BG42 Vanguards with the burl wood handles. Of my 100+ knives these are my only "safe queens". They will get used someday, just not sure when.

My good old 422OD is number one... Than any Buck Knife with Stag handles... ITE ... :D
