Well, we had a recent thread about what's on your belt. How about your belt?

Does anyone have something that the especially like?

I have been wanting a good ranger belt forever. I finally just decided to make one. It hot stuffed side leather (which means it is full of a lot of tallow and oils). Russet with dark brown straps. I still need to burnish the edges, but you get the idea.

Look damn good dude:thumbup: I think you are having too much fun with your new stitcher;).

my favorite belt is one I picked up for £11 at the local country show (horse riding, countryside crafts that sort of thing)2 years ago. it's literaly just a strip of leather with a buckle riveted onto one end, and holes at the other.
most comfortable belt I've ever worn.
went back the next year, bought annother in black, although I had to ask the lady who runs the stall to shorten it, as they didn't have one my size.

this year I'm going back again, and I'm making sure to try and visit the stall again, as my black one got lost (although I'm dammned if I know how) and last year I spotted some very nice looking money belts.

past that I use the ones that came with my craghoppers trousers, which are the only webbing strap belts I've ever realy got on with, the ones with metal buckes tend to rub on my stomach, and it gets quite uncomfortable.

That's great. I have about 14lbs to loose and then I'm getting a new belt. I'm looking at the Duluth Lifetime Belt. It's super sturdy. People have been wearing it as a gun belt without any sagging or deforming.

Nice job Brian.

My EDC belt is a 3D leather that's 1 3/4" wide tapering to 1 3/8" at the ends. In the woods I usually wear a 5.11 Instructor belt.

Beautiful. I wear a crappy belt I got at a garage sale. Not kidding. Its cracked on the side with the holes too. But its got this cool weathered look, and its really muted. It doesn't stand out.

I have a Carhart belt that I like a lot, but I lost a bit of weight, and its loose now. I just need to punch some holes.

I have been wearing the same Kenny Rowe hand tooled belt everyday for the last 7-8 years. Rarely do I wear another one, but just in case I bought a black one from him.

That's a nice one Brian, good work. My belt is definitely the most secure and supportive around, but a lot less classy. It's a 5-stitch wilderness tactical instructor's belt. I had a pic somewhere but I can't find it. It's this one:

I have the Ti version (I hate removing my belt going through metal detectors:barf: I really like the Wilderness belts, but I also wear a stout rigger's belt from HSGI for work. Another good product are the Liger belts...they look classy but perform quite well. I've worn them in wet environments where they excel and they make a great gun belt as well. I do like the look of that Duluth Lifetime belt though:thumbup:

I'll have to take a look at those, thanks for the notion. I've worn the instructors belt ('outgrew' one so this makes the second) for several years. I don't travel much at all so the metal detectors haven't been a big issue.

I wear one of these outside the belt loops to hold my gear, and a plain-jane inch and a half wide leather belt with a brass buckle to hole my pants up.

I wear a crappy belt I got at Target for holding up my pants and a clearance rack nylon belt I picked up at Walmart for holding my fanny pack. Both have been very durable for the little I paid!

I wear a pretty wide leather belt I made after a quick trip to the hobby shop. A bit of trimming, riveting, punching holes and burnishing and I've got a better belt for the money than anything out there. I'm going to make another with thicker leather soon once school is out.

The belt I wear isn't anything special. Just a normal nylon-ish material belt. Rather thick for what it is, but it is secure.

I also have a decent leather belt if I feel like looking classy.

I use a Tactical Tailor rigger belt. Supports a pistol and holster, knife, and multi tool with no problem. Cost is under $40.
