Well, I'm one of those guys who could stand to lose a few pounds, and I've been really happy with my 5.11 belts. I have 2 web ones, and a leather one. While I don't carry a gun, I find that the extra stiffness of a gun belt goes a long way towards keeping my pants up, where a soft leather belt lets them slide off at amazing speed.
