What is your crk grail?

I have a request, is it possible to get a picture of the mokume sebenza. I've never seen mokume on a sebenza, I have a knife from Bill Burke with Damascus he calls firestorm (he is also the creator of the River of Fire Damascus for the Sebenza) and he has an excellent version of mokume on this utility knife of his. I would love to see some of that on a regular sebenza.

This picture is from the sales thread.

Mine as well, along with the mokume version.

Awesome, now we know who has all the rare Chris Reeve Knives around here. Mike I would appreciate some insight as to how these wonderful blades came to be. I know the bottom one is 1 of 5 (1 for each of Africa's Most Dangerous Game) made by a certain engraver but I can't remember the name right now. I'm guessing the first one is the pre-sebenza folder done in South Africa and that is prototype #2. The second picture from top/down is the mokume sebenza I asked for (Thank You). The third one down is something I've never seen or heard of before, it's an anodized scaled sebenza with Morse code graphics on it. Please fill the gaps and Thank You For Sharing. If there was ever a hall of fame for CRK ever created, I would defiantly vote for the ones you just posted.

Here's some of my grails...

The thing about your grail is that once you get it, it's no longer a grail. So you pick a new grail, ad infinitum. I've had a few CRK grails, but at the moment it is a small annual with box elder or buckeye burl.

The morse code one says "THINK TWICE, CUT ONCE", which I'm sure some could have guessed.

Definitely an awesome handful of knives there, all CRK museum material. I'd wager that these are some of the rarest around.

I recently came across a large regular with a silver shipwreck coin mounted in the titanium handle. Ladder damascus was the choice of steel and it was, perhaps, the most intriguing CR I've seen to date.

I have a small Regular Native American Sebenza--I bought it brand new and have gently carried it and used it. It really "clicks" with me as well. I am not sure I have a "grail" Sebenza, but my small Regular with dual thumbstuds and silver hardware is pretty sweet... I would like to find a NIB small regular with a single thumbstud and blue hardware someday.

I did not mean to imply I own those grails. Only in my dreams...

I want a large sebbie with a big ivory inlay that I can have scrimshawed. Or, since those are extremely difficult to find, I want to track down the guy who owns the large sebbie that's already scrimshawed (classy topless lass) and buy it from him. :)

A grail IMO has to be largly inaccessable, most of the knives in this thread could be owned with a little perceverance, financial or other wise and perhaps a little bit of kidnapping, extortion and torture. I would personally like to own a hand made set of knives of some sort or a hand made knife of rarety or even a one off. A special Sebenza no matter how special just doesn't fill that "grail hole" for me. Something like the lock 45 posted by MVG is getting there though. :)

sick collection of grails, the most interesting one is the "2" prototype, interesting design
the mokume one is a looker!!!

congrats

This is my CRK grail:

Small Limited Regular with Ladder Damascus and Mammoth Bark.

I keep hoping that RNST will sell me his... ;)

Kind regards,

I have seen some knives in this post that I would possibly trade my entire collection to own! Some absolute beauties in here!
