What is your day hike kit?

This is in my bag.

Now that it's winter I also take a folding saw as well.

On my hip will be a 4-5" knife.

In my pockets will be a LMF rod, cell phone, another vic farmer, PSK, lighters, ciggarettes, wallet, camera, leather gloves. I think thats it.....

Hi all, I carry a nalgene water carrier and I have a pouch that I sewed on onto the sling. the whole kit wieghs in at about 10 Pounds. Here is a couple of pics of it the first pic has the contents all spread out on the bed and the next one has it all loaded up.

Now this is what my wife has been carring as of late ( like purses she switches then back and forth Drives me crazy LOL) here is a pic of hers.

DJ wolf Thanks that one is the first one I made and here is a pic of th newest one. it is a little different but I like it a lot better. bigger head and more curve in the handle.

From left to right is the three that I made with the far right one being the newest one.

I love knives but I really like hatchets to LOL To me knives and hatchets just go together .
