What is your "desk knife"?

Greetings all,
I don't spend too much time at one, but I do have an office and desk at my clinic. OF COURSE... I have a dedicated desk knife. It is one of my absolute favorites too... an Opinel no. 8 carbon steel drop-point. (I'd dearly love to find about 10 or so more to give as gifts, but that is addressed in a thread over in the traditional forum).

I use it for opening mail, cutting up apples, sharpening the stray pencil, opening and breaking down boxes, and random zen-sharpening mental breaks.

What is YOUR desk knife? Something fancy and "gent-like", or something basic and pedestrian like mine?

I don't work a deskjob, but I do have a desk in my room. The knife? A block of kitchen knives from the 70's. :D

(Sharpening project. Then I'm taking the butcher out to the woods, possibly comparing it to a CS Bushman)

This one! if it isnt in my pocket its on my desk!

My desk knife are the knives I carry with me. the Benchmade 175 & the Spyderco Chinook II.

interesting thread... I am interested to see what all the other members "desk knives" are. ;)

Back in the day when the Great Western Knife and Gun Show used to be held semi-annually at the LA county fairgrounds the Cold Steel guys would sometimes show up and offer seconds of various knives. I picked up a few medium Voyagers over the years and now keep them scattered around, in desks at home and office, in cars, anywhere where one can be reached quickly.

My "house knife" is my REKAT Hobbit Fang...That's the one I use for everyday "household cutting jobs"...I've wrapped the handle with a few layers of "Agrip", and that make it a comfortable knife. I also have a S&W HRTDR at my computer desk just in-case a bear rushes in and I can't get to my Glock 10mm.:D.:D.

Glockman...You just HAD to mention a Glock 10mm didnt ya?? :)

My "desk knife" is either a Pukko kit that I put together or my HI KPH/Sarge knife...I have been testing my kydex making ability here lately, so I tend to keep a scrapyard 6 laying on my desk in easy reach

Opinel #10 or Mora or SAK rucksack on rotation.

Great idea for a post and it's really interesting to see what others have lying around.

I never thought about it before, but when I read this thread, I looked around. I have a Spyderco SWICK sitting to the left of my monitor, a BM551 and a Victorinox Swisschamp xl in my drawer. ( I won't mention the fifty or so knives in the file cabinet next to my desk lol, but they aren't go to for desk duty...they are in short term storage lmao.)

X-Acto Knife No. 1, with No. 11 blades. Presentation box included . . .

Buck 110. As you all know, it's a great knife. But it's too heavy to carry around, so it gets relegated to desk duty.

The secretary opens all the envelopes, but I have her deliver packages to me unopened. If I don't use my EDC, I use one of these that I keep in my desk. She's allowed to borrow it if she needs to break down boxes ($20 so I'm not worried about her carving rocks). I used to keep one of these around too, but it has been demoted to the knife drawer.

Technically, I guess a desk knife is a knife I have on my desk,
which is where I keep current knives of interest, so:

Spyderco Adventura
Kershaw S30V Leek
Spyderco original Endura Wave
Opinel #6
CRK Mnandi
Victorinox Bantam
Kershaw Storm II
Boker Plus Subcom

Inside the side drawer:

CRKT Sting
Ka-Bar TDI
Graham Razel
Graham Razel necker
CRK Sebenza
CRK tanto Sebenza
CRK small Classic Sebenza
DDR EDC
Strider tanto SnG

Hanging off my computer rack next to the desk:

CRK 12" Sable
McCann Industries Puffin Magnum

And inside my desk, my real Desk Knife:

Wenger with everything (can't remember the model name)
