What is your "desk knife"?

In the desk drawer is a Buck Cadet 303, an old Colonial and Provincial Ranger jack knife, a small all steel pen knife from the 1920s (made by Saynor of Sheffield) and a Schrade Imperial 4 inch Trapper...

all used for opening mail, cutting card, string, sharpening pencils and digging out staples.

p.s. there is also a 4 inch fixed blade blade Mora in laminated steel in the other drawer, in case of real problems.

My desk knife is an older black FRN clip SE Spyderco Delica. Great little cutter.

I have a couple of small'ish fixed blade kit knives at my work desk. Other than that, whatever I grab out of my pocket. That could be anything from a SAK to my BM710D2, depending on what the task is.

On my desk at home right now are a Busse SH-E and a Busse PBS. Just in case it's a really tough envelope to open though, I also have a Paul Chen Bushido Katana on my desk ;)

At work would be whatever I'm carrying that day which as of late is a Busse GW DCBB w/ Black Micarta.

I have several knives with in reach of where I keep my computer. I have about 8 sitting around on the desk, in little cubbies.

p.s. there is also a 4 inch fixed blade blade Mora in laminated steel in the other drawer, in case of real problems.

My "in case of problems" office knife is the 15" HI Sirupati on the shelf behind my desk.:D

STeven, I love your desk line-up... that antique karda really speaks to me.

Great replies all, keep them coming!

Typically I find myself using my Victorinox at the desk, mainly the Ranger. I like a longer blade when opening envelopes so I don't slice up the letters and use whatever I have EDC'd for the day.

I have a Weimannsheil stag handle bird and trout knife (small hunting fixed blade) that I use purely as a letter opener at home.

At work my main "office knife" is a Case yellow handle CV Mini Copperlock.

An inexpensive KaBar Dozier in AUS-8. It gets wickedly sharp and I generally use it for light tasks.

A Laguiole with a corkscrew and an awl takes care of all eventualities and makes a sheeple-friendly and pretty sight with its old-fashioned slipjoint design and olive wood handle.

Desk at work: Vic Climber
Desk at home: entire 'collection' (if you must call it that... I don't 'collect' knives, I just have a bunch that I like to use) is contained therein.

I usually keep a benchmade Nimravus Cub M2 on the desk. Before i got it i would rotate between a benchmade 190 in D2, an Extrema Ratio Shrapnel, a Spyderco Lum Tanto Fixed, cold steel master hunter in carbon v, Busse Public Defender, etc. Whe my new Ranger Little Bird in M4 gets here, it will probably replace my current desk knife. Interesting idea for a post, by the way...
