My dream Buck Knife would be a 110 drop point with s30v or bg-42,with stag handles,or maybe a regular wood handle 110 with carbon steel blade, those would be a dream come true for me,so whats your dream knife?

You almost had your wish...That very knife was proposed as a BCCI Fund Raiser knife a couple years back...but the knife, when it came out, had a "drop point" that somebody at Buck had tried to improve, and it ended up looking pretty barn-jobbish...I had two, and sold both of them...(Same with the companion 112)...They were nickel silver bolstered, Sambar stag scaled, S30V (IIRC)...I was pretty disappointed, and I made sure anyone interested knew it... :grumpy:

They can still be found, occasionally on eBay, sometimes (I suppose) from Larry Oden...

/favorite rant

Leroy made me up my favorite...A true 426 drop point blade in a 110 chassis...:thumbup:

Since I have 2 custom 110s',mine would be a custom 112.I wish they had that option on the Buck Custom Shop page.

Oh, now that is a point to ponder!

A 124 w/micarta handles that I could readily afford and use (ie it being back in production).

High end steel on the Companion with stag handles.

A drop point 110 would also be sweet, nothing fancy since I would want it as a user.

I actually traded this one to Evil Eye Earl for a BG42 Clippoint Stag 110. It is a nice one. Trax was just unlucky with his stag on his DPs.

So Razor, here is your dream knife:

As I've said many times before... my dream Bucks would be a 301 in carbon, and a 110 in 1095. It doesn't take much to make me happy.

I think you're thinking of DarrylS...I think... ;)

It was the blade profile that turned me off...Reportedly, the original BCCI "order knife" that was shown in the newsletter was prototyped from a clip-point 110 blade that was ground into a drop-point...that one got my attention; it was so pure in form and looked so purposeful...but was never realized... :(

Oh, well...Live and learn...

A 110 with a mirror polish S30V blade, 12 or 14 carat gold bolsters, fossil dinosaur bone scales, or that mahogany obsidian, or Sambar stag, or how bout all three as a set in a nice black walnut box-case with crystal glass?

You did say "dream".

I was dreaming I found an old barn and one of those 117s was laying on one of the cross studs.......which made me wonder in my past 40 or so years did I ever walk close to a real 117.....sort of like walking by a big rattlesnake and never seeing it.

I have to say a yellow smooth scale, 154 bladed, small blue anvil shield 303 (or Tin won't talk to me ever again...)

"Back to the basics" never goes out of style, no bells & whistles, just natural handle materials, no etches, signatures, imprints, lazoring, engraving.....no gimmicks

I would love a 110 with njatural wood scales and a carbon steel blade !
Also a 119 with no upper guard, stronger tang and of course - a carbon steel flat ground blade :D
A 105 with a larger handle would be nice too...
