Two categories: one knife that exists but you can't afford or can't find; the second: a knife that exists only in your imagination.

Mine:

1. My budget-busting dream: The Mic Strider Custom SMF folder with a cobalt damascus blade AND damascus scale (sells for $2100, xiuxiu1313 made a video of it). http://www.gpknives.com/mickstridercustomsmfsculptedcobaltdamascus.html

2. My imagined knife: a Hinderer XM-18 Custom folder with blue anodized Ti scale/frame and blue Mosaic damascus blade (maybe cladding a super-steel for edge retention and usability).

What are yours?

So good it's stolen.I still hope you got it back Ed.

To have just one is impossible unless you stop coming to Bladeforums at all.

Any of Bill Moran's Damascus folder and Salahuddin's Wootz sword.

That Laconico is a gem. You have seriously whetted my appetite.

Right now I'd say a sebenza insingo (I can afford it I just haven't decided to spend that much yet haha)

And the knife I wish existed is a knife with the handles from a benchmade ares but slightly thinner with titanium framelock and a kershaw style composite blade of m390 for cutting and h1 as the spine and most of the blade. I would spend a couple months salary on that bad boy.

Is his knives YOUR dream knife? If so, maybe he'll sell you one. They look expensive, and that one that resembles a Sebenza looks so well fit and finished.

A Microtech CFO with satin/high polished M390 blade and gun metal grey annodized handle.

Benchmade heard you and came pretty close with the 755 MPR. M390 blade, smooth as silk action, and Ti framelock with G10 scale. But it is not skinny. I own one and it is a great knife. Just hard to get in and out of the pocket, with the rough textured scale and stiff pocket clip.

There are several knives I lust after:
Gareth Bull Warlock (and now the Shamwari, as mantzao posted up),
Peter Rassenti Druid (and now he has something new drawn up, making it hard for me to decide),
and the Farid K2 REX121 (this is supposed to be almost completed)

Dream knife? Well, Gareth Bull posted about his Shamwari that's available in SM-100. It will be that, for now :)

Thanks for posting, knife hunter. Just bookmarked your site; really competitive prices. As if I don't have enough ways to spend money :)

The "exists, but cannot afford", is another Laconico, called the Jasmine, here in LSCF

I suppose the "will never exist" would be made out of the same kind of metal as that second Terminator robot, so that I could make it look however I wanted. Hinderer? Sure. William Henry for out to dinner? No problem. Small fixed blade? Gimme a moment.

And a way to track it if it gets lost or stolen...

Right now it's a Rick Hinderer xm-24. I say right now because I know that eventually I will break down and buy one, then it will be something else lol
