I aways carry at least one blade that's over 4" in length, what is your average carry length?

I am dimensionally schizophrenic. One day I'll carry a teeny SOG Flash II or Spydie Dragonfly, and the next day a CQC-8 or Resilience. Usually, though, its more in the middle range - Para 2, Delica, etc.

I prefer 3-3.5" for my EDC...I've always thought to myself that the para 2 will be the biggest edc for me. not gonna be carrying anything larger than that.

I usually like to keep it under 3.5". Although the ZT 0560 has been pushing that limit a little. It sometimes depends where I'm going and what I'm doing.

I prefer 3-3.5in usually. I never go over 4in, because since I'm not living in the country side anymore people freak out.

I had someone recently say to me "do you have a knife? Omg that is a huge knife!" to my caly3.

Anything over 3.5 and I'm kinda conscious about it. But too far under 3in and I feel under-prepared.

That doesn't mean I don't carry basically any size blade i want from time to time.

Historically its been right around the 3" mark, up to about 3.75" Max. Anything under 3 and I feel under-knifed and wind up carrying something larger as well. I feel pretty comfortable around 3" though.

For the last few months, 5.5" DDR HD Maxx.

3" or less due to ridiculous state laws. Would be happier in the 3.25-.75" range on modern folders. Traditionals I'm content with at the 3 and under mark.

I'm the same as powernoodle. I love my little-big-knives (Dragonfly, etc.), but love my Endura and Para 2 entirely too much to leave them sitting around. If I had to narrow it down, I'd say my "preferred" length is 3.5-4".

My usual EDC is an Endura 4 -- about 3.5" of VG-10 that is well sharpened.

OTOH, when I have to visit a California school campus, I switch to an Ambitious so I stay under the 2.5" limit. There are days I sympathize with the guy to took it all off in the TSA line at an airport. You wonder when people will stop treating useful tools like they were demon posessed.

Anywhere From 2.5" - 4" Is Perfect.

Currently I'm Carrying:
Spyderco Chokwe
ZT 0301
And Kershaw JYD 1720

A Nice Mix Of A Few Different Blade Lengths.
