Here are my EDC's, my duty and off duty. I also carry a model 21 but I like the 18 betterAs far as knives just carry a folder unless working tactical.

My glock17 with bk17...... carried in my maxpedition bag......
And my g26 carried on my hip with my zt 301 in my pocket..... well equipped

I carried a S&w M&P 40 or a springfield xd 45 but i still loved my p345d ruger it just stayed home most the time. until a couple years ago when i was forced to actually use my xd. now im no longer allowed to own firearms. self defense or not if you end up using it away from your home be prepared for a nice stay in the slammer, loosing you concealed carry privilege, and all your guns. The crazy thing is my firearm instructor always told me if i ever needed to use it, use it, but then get ready for jail time. I didnt understand then but now i do. but hey jail is better than dead anyday. but Oh how i miss my babies.
Philly doesnt allow the carrying of any knives, technically they dont allow the carry of a multitool in the city, and i live in the city.

I carry my sbr in a tennis racket bag, to the office daily. My j-frame iwb. My BM 550, and Vic super tink.
On the weekends, we are always in the hills, so i edc my NA Arms 22mag, my BM550, my super tink, and my bk2.
I'm going to add a 14 to my every day edc, as soon as I find one to trade for.

Do you all really EDC a pistol? Are you all CCW or is it open carry in your area? I only ask because I only know a couple people that EDC a gun, but a lot that EDC a knife. I was kind of surprised at all the EDC gun pics. I occasionally take my colt combat commander or taurus judge with me on road trips, but never carry it around town. It is too hot here to effectively conceal it on my person and I am a little worried I would pull it in a fit of impaired judgment while driving to work one day or some other silly situation where It wasn't warranted. I have had a gun pulled on me a couple times, once when I was cut off and almost killed while riding a motorcycle, I followed the jerk and he eventually stopped and hopped out with pistol drawn. Another time a woman "felt threatened" and drew on me while walking in the neighborhood. Both times were situations that could have gone a lot worse after introducing a pistol into the mix. When I was younger I would keep a .22 and a shotgun on the back window gun rack.. even when going to school. Had to be ready for after school dove and rabbit hunts. I don't have an aversion to guns at all, I own quite a few, just not 100% sure weather I should carry one or not.
Have any of you had a need to actually use a weapon while carrying? I have been thinking hard about getting my wife and I CCW licenses for a while now, but I still have a lot of reservations.

Yes I do, and sometimes more than one. I do have a ccdw, and have carried for 11 years. My firearm is my primary defensive tool, my knife is my general use tool.

I like my BK 9 and my fnp-40. I work in the gheto so shoot first and whats left gets some BK 9 lol. The other week some punks where checking out the parking lot when they seen me and my buddy talking. as they came close they seen the BK-9 sticking out of the side of my war bag and thought that it be best not mess with us.

Not trying to be rude or anything... but where the hell do you work that permits duty carry of a Glock 18?? They are extremely highly regulated along with being extremely expensive. I'm not aware of any agencies in the US that has issued the G18 as a duty weapon.

It may seem funny to you Americans, but in my country it is forbidden to carry a firearm (a civil mater can only weapons at home) and caliber "stronger" allowed for civilians is 0.380 ...

I do not EDC my sidearm (XD40). I am planning on getting a CCW so I have the option of carrying it when I go somewhere where I might need it, but it's mainly a range gun, and for home protection (except my area is very safe, so meh).
I EDC a knife on a regular basis, however. Usually my HTM Gun Hammer in M390 and a small SAK on my keychain. I also EDC a fixed blade sometimes, and may bring a large one if I'm going camping/backpacking.
