Mine is the bk2, because it is small enough to take with you, and strong enough for just about anything you could need it for. But with so many models whats yours.

Same here. Its a 30yr old design that is still as good today as it was when it was cut out of the British Mod 1 survival knife. Yep, CUT OUT. E bought a Mod1 and thought, "Hey, there is a good knife in there somewhere". The rest is Becker history, present and future.

Its mine so far as its the closest I came to "the Knife". You know, the knife we are all looking for. It does the most chores in the smallest package. My favorite knife, ever, of all the knives I have, other Beckers included.

like the other thread on "firsts", mine is an easy choice and decision.

back in the early eighties, i called Ethan at his Cincinnati shop, and he walked me through his models, what i wanted, and eh voila, a knife showed up. the Machax.

now, he almost had me sold with "the Campanion is the only knife you need to field strip a Buick"... but i went with a khukri :) he even said he would keep it sharp for me, for life ;>

Yeah,

Its a knife addiction that keeps us yearning for 'the kind' knife.. well its sorta like chasing the lottery..!:D

I only own 2 at the moment a 7 and 2, I have more time with the 7 so I'll have to say 'at the moment' its the 7..

it's a good all around size, decent chopping if needed, splits well and could also be used a great defense in the bush (unlikely)..

Here's another vote for the BK7. It's big enough to do some chopping and brush clearing, and at the same time excels at ordinary "round the campfire" tasks.

currently my favorite is the Eskabar (BK14) as it gets significantly more use than my tactool (BK3)
I had a Brute, but it just didn't feel right in my hand - almost soured me on Becker altogether, but not quite.

I'm torn between my BK-11 and my BK-2. Dunno - probably the BK-2 but I really like both of them.

My choice comes down to the 2 and the 9,both Camillus models.I love both, but would have to go with the 9.Me and my 9 have done alot of yardwork, limbing, and chopping together.Definately one of my all time favourite big knives.

Right now I would have to say my BK2 simply because it is such a versatile tool. After the zombie apocalypse though it will undoubtedly be my Tactool.

Magnum Camp Knife for me. Have a Blackjack, will be getting a KABAR. I like the design. It works well without wearing you out. Great for food prep, light camp chores, anything that needs cutting or slicing. Would do for SD in a pinch. Jerry Fisk design, can't go wrong there. An 8" chef's knife for the great outdoors? A modern Searles bowie? Whatever, it works.

BK-2 Campanion here. It's just a beast of a knife in the hand, but it's also very functional in a variety of contexts.

I do have a very warm place in my heart, however, for both the BK-5 and the BK-9.

BK2 for me but I haven't gotten the BK11 yet so it is possible that it could change. God I love my BK2 though.

bk2 hands down. everyone already knows what it's capable of so i'm not going to repeat it. the other is aesthetics. i just love the way it looks - handle shape, drop point blade, the handle to blade length ratio (it's very balanced visually)...it's just a downright sexy looking knife!

p.s. i hope the 'tweeners will have the same blade shape.

One of 'em will. I gots to see it, or at least a pic of it.:D

I haven't had the BK-2, but of the ones I have tried, the BK-9 is tops. It is one of the lightest blades in its class, chops really well, and can take thin slices off a tomato if you've got it sharp. Speaking of sharp, it is easy to sharpen, and best of all...

it throws really well with that big straight spine, and hits with some authority! :D

I agree on every point! BK-2 all the way!

Well I only have the BK11 but I'm about to buy the BK7. I'm guessing I'll like the BK7 the best, and over the BK2 when I end up buying it (I'm told I'll have to after it starts). One reason is the cool thumb ridges, and I just love that length of blade, the combat/utility style.

Nice to meet you all by the way, I'm new and my name is Will. I believe I'm becoming a Becker/Ka-Bar addict.
