What Is Your Favorite Brand/Pattern?

It depends which way the wind is blowing. For current companies, Great Eastern is excellent. I do like Case (cv) for no-nonsense mass produced work knives.

The couple Queens I've owned have been perfect.

Patterns, I love a good Canoe, Barlow, toothpick, equal end jack, and a congress is nice...

I'm rather fond of a 2-blade medium sized jack knife. Now that covers a lot of ground, since many pocket knives qualify as jack knives.

I'd say my favorite is the Case '032 Medium Jack, also called the Small Texas Jack. It's just about the ideal size for pocket carry nestled in vertically beside my wallet in a back pocket. I like my 62032 Amber Bone CV Small Texas Jack so much I bought a second one.

I don't really have any experience with other current manufacturers besides Case, so I can't really pick a "favorite" brand without having something else to compare to. One of these days I may have to pick up a GEC just to see what all the fuss is about, but every time I go looking for one, there never seem to be any handle type / pattern combos available that I like for the price.

Edited to add a couple of pics:

Case 62032 CV Amber Bone Small Texas Jack. Started a patina on the main blade.

Case 62032 SS Medium Jack, was originally Sunset Winterbottom Bone but I dyed it chestnut. Looks much better this way.

I am a newly turned GEC fanatic, I started out with Case then wanted to see what else was out there. I love GEC because I like equal end frames, single blades, and spear point main blades. GEC also offers a good selection of handle materials. Case doesn't do much spear point stuff.... I think.. Im gonna give Queen and Canal street a try and see if the glove fits. Although I think GEC is really hitting the nail on the head as far as modern production goes.

GEC and vintage Case knives make up 75% of my traditional collection.
I own many different patterns but my old Case Heavy Jack (6231 1/2) is my all time favorite.

Stockman all the way. Currently I'm a fan of the Herman brands, but I will never pass up a good Schrade USA.

I am a fan of the sodbuster pattern, but I like canoes and single blade trappers too. Similar to knarfeng, it depends on the day almost!
For brands, I do like the classic case but GEC makes some really great stuff too

Right now my favorite brand is easily GEC but favorite pattern would be harder to settle on. I would have to say either the 66 serp jack or 76 outlaw jack but I'm really loving Barlows right now too! :)

I'm a huge fan of my Case peanut in CV. When I look at the cigar box-o-knives every morning, that's almost always the one that winds up in the pocket, However, the GEC #15 with the spear and pen blades is my absolute grail knife.

i dont have a favorite brand. im not sure i have anything like a favorite pattern, either.
mostly what i like are rustic single blade knives.

I own more GECs than anything else, so I guess I'd have to say they're my favorite. Short of going full custom, they're pretty hard to beat, imo.

As far as patterns? I lean toward one & two-blade jacks, in all their wonderful variations. Particularly the #15, 25 & 92.

While I love Case's mini copperhead and always have it with me, I am addicted to the old Schrade Old Timers. I'm not really sure that I have a favorite but I have more stockman models than anything else.

I really want to get a few of these as that is what I always remember my dad and grandpa carrying when I was a kid. He didn't like stainless ones either he always had the carbon steel version and to this day he don't like stainless knives. My dad gave me one when I was pretty young but I sadly lost it long ago. I cut my finger pretty dang bad with that knife shortly after he gave it to me too but i didn't say anything because i didn't want it taken away! :)

My favorite brand is definitely GEC. I really like the 2 bladed jack knives in the 3.5-3.75 range, 66, 15, 85, 76 come to mind. It's no fun to narrow it down anyways. I enjoy them all.

Sodbusters mostly I think, although they seem to have collected of their own accord, I seek out electricians knives and I'm enjoying experimenting with some medium sized jacks and pen knives, of course the old timer schrade 34oT stcokamn is also a common favorite.

I have no idea how to focus in other words...I'm seem to be developing a taste for GEC and old Schrades mostly

I want to say my GEC #76 stag, but my #42 trapper w/cocobolo seems to edge it out all the time... which makes my #42 lock back trader /copperhead jigged bone very unhappy...

The copperhead is my favorite pattern. I like so many different companies product that I would have a hard time picking a favorite maker.
