I have just decided that the Duke 500 is my favorite. I love the size, shape, and weight.

My first good folder was a 110 when I was a kid back in the early 70's. I was a Boy Scout and wanted one for quite a while, but my folks did not have money to buy one for me. I saved and scraped together the money and ditched school to go to the Yates Army Navy store in Phoenix to buy one. I had that knife for about 20 years until I gifted it to a needy teenager.

I also had a Ranger 112 for a long time until I gifted it, too.

I think that I have owned nearly every Buck folder and a few fixed blades over the years, but my favorite is the Duke.

What is yours?

My first Buck was a 110 also from the 70s. I didn't gift it to anybody. I still have it. As far as my favorite. I like every one I have when it fits my needs.

The 112FG. This oak scaled/420 112 is usually with me, the walnut/S30V is also sweet.

For me it would have to be 110, 112 & 500 in that order. I trimmed down and rounded out a 112 to about the 500 size, that made a nice pocket carrier.

That is why I like the 500. It is a slimmed down 112.

I like and own all three.

Toss up between the 112 and the 501. I carry both at the same time so I don't have to pick. I love the 110, but I find that I don't use it that much when I carry it on a day to day basis. Never had a 500 and I want to try one, but I also want a 112 with finger grooves, and a stag 112, and a drop point 112, and a custom shop 501 in S30V and elk, and and and.........

I like 110s, 112s, but probably my favorite is the Bucklite 422 1st versions, and the paperstone/ecolite 110 from a few years back. Its weird because on the old Bucklites, I prefer the 422 that is the 112 size, but on the Ecolites, I prefer the 110 size. I just bought my first ever 301 this week, it has possibilities!
