I am looking for a new pocket knife . I am mainly looking at Case knives . What model is your favorite , that you actually use / carry every day ? Just looking at them online , I like the mini trapper and sowbelly .

I like the following patterns: large trapper, sodbuster, backpocket, lannys clip, sway back, peanut and large stockman.

I did however modify my trapper to have a half stop and reground the blades. It is one of my most carried knives. Either way. You wont stop at one pattern in my experience. Enjoy them all!

I love my sow belly stockman . Love the wharncliffe/sheep's foot blade and I use that blade 99% of the time matter of fact I believe the other blades still have the factory edge .

Seahorse Whittler is my current favorite. Picked one up with G10 scales and it is awesome.

My favorites are my TB collaboration Tribal Spear and ebony Back Pocket.

My favorite, hands down, is the Mid-Folding Hunter with no pocket clip. I also like the Sowbelly pretty well and the mid stockman.

I have a couple of Swayback Jack's that have been known to carry on me from time to time and they each have different Scales & feel about them ! Go figure ~~ same style of Knife and same maker but different feel.!** Oh well. Good Knives though in there own way.^

Of the patterns that I own, I like the Peanut more than just about any other pattern that I own, Case or not.

An alox Victorinox is my primary slipjoint but the Humpback Stockman and the Sowbelly are my two favorites from Case. All great knives. Good luck in your selection.

My favorite Case is :
My Swayback Jack (blue handled knife bellow)
My Stag Trapper
My Medium Stockman in White SparXX or Red bone

Just depends on the day. I must say that the full size trapper has a feel in the hand and something that I can’t define that says : They put extra attention into making this knife. It really all came together; at least this particular Stag model did.

The others are just great though. These are old photos. Can’t go wrong with a Case.
But you SURE AS YELL can go wrong with some other brands that are their contemporaries. They’ve got some good people at Case.

marthinus,

Way to go . . . I like a person that isn't afraid to make a tool into something useful for THEM.
Anyone here will tell you I mod the heck out of my knives but . . . I love the Case Trapper blades as they are.
I would really like to see what you have done with them.

The Case Medium Jack is my favorite. Right between the Peanut an Texas Jack in size - ideal size in my opinion.

Medium stockmans and trappers, CV of course.
Better yet for me are the GEC equivalents, in osage orange - what we call horse apple or bois d'arc.

You may be looking at multi blade models, but I love my Copperlock! It really is a wonderful size and is built well. It is in my edc rotation and can handle anything from cutting carpet to eating pork chops. My only wish was if Case came out with a full size Copperlock with a little better steel.

Swayback Jack and Gent. Love the handle and blade design. I just got this Swayback Jack, love the Warncliff blade.
