what is your favorite flipper

This knife has the most amazing detent and the smoothest action of any IKBS equipped knife ive ever owned or handled. This thing is seriously smoother than a Ikoma guardian angel i almost bought at a show. Its definitely not in the same class as that knife, but for a coated blade to be that smooth in a production knife I give them props. The knife is impossible to missfire.

My favorite flippers (based solely on flipping action) are as follows

1. CRKT Foresight
2. ZT0560
3. spyderco Southard (would be number one, if we were judging overall. The knife is superb)
4. CRKT foresight

Kershaw Junkyard II gets my vote till Chris Reeve makes an Umnumzaan flipper. :D

Brad Duncan 'Monster' - even bigger than my Randall..........

My favorite knife that has a flipper is the Southard. But, my favorite flipper action comes from the R.A.M. The Southard is close, but the lack of a detent dragging the tang sets the R.A.M. apart.

I've been trying a bunch out lately, because I love the flipper concept. Especially no having to do the whole wrist-flick-ima-git-you motion to open a knife.

The two that I've really liked the most are "modest" knives. The Buck Vanage Pro and Kershaw Leek. The one's that I wanted to love, but just didn't are the Benchmade 300sn and the Buck Vantage small. The Axis lock is phenomenal, but makes the flipping action far different than expected. The small Vantage is just too light of a blade for be a manual flipper, IMO.

With all the talk of the R.A.M., I'm going to have to check that one out. Thanks!

how do you post pictures on here I don't know my html or whatever and IP whatever and how do I put a pic on my avatar anyone can help

1 Wilson combat/Les George Eagle
2 Spyderco Southard
3 ZT 0560CBCF

Worst flipper I ever owned was a Hinderer XM 3.5 It wouldnt flip without wrist flicking it

Tough one here, the coolest little flippers would be the Kershaw Zing tanto or Kershaw OD-1 (although its geared, sort of). Manual flipper would be either ZT 0200 or Kershaw Junk Yard Dog. Assisted would be ZT 0350, just love that thwack.

Spyderco's Brad Southard is a great knife in every respect. Outstanding flipper, without being a custom made.

My only flipper is my ZT0350. Guess it gets my vote. Gonna have to remedy that "Only ZT" one of these days.

Wish I had a decent flipper(especially the Southard). I can imagine flippers are very sweet on heavier knives actually.

1. CRKT Foresight - amazingly smooth flipper action without need for wrist action
2. Spyderco Southard
3. Kershaw RAM

I recieved my first hinderer 2days ago its 3.5" and doesnt flip without wrist flick atm pretty disappointing
On the other hand I got my leu bluephin last week and its the best flipper I have so far absolutely an amazing knife

I appreciate that the XM 18 was designed to work exactly as you described, requiring a small flick, and not utilizing torsion bars, bearings, or any additional uneccessary parts to break or gum up.
