my current EDC carry & default survival folder Blade-Tech - Wegner Pro-Hunter:

my SAK of choice would be the Locksmith...

... or the Outrider

and a couple of "still gotta get these" folder choices

Swamp Rat Knife Works - Rat Trap folder:

Benchmade - Doug Ritter RSK Mk1:

Well, my primary survival folder would be a 710HS, since it's what I always have on me. If I had the choice, for use in the woods I would prefer my Greco Falcon, it's design is simpler and at least as tough as my 710.

For survival by choice I'd prefer a small fixed blade, like a BRK&T Highland. But in reality, I tend to take a folder into the woods, not that I go into deep woods.

I have a tanto SnG now, but my large tanto Sebenza has taken good care of me, too, as did its regular spearpoint predecessor. I also like the 4" Buck/Strider spearpoint, the MOD CQD and even the CQD Mark II, and especially the Extrema Ratio Nemesis. I can't help it; I have wide hands.

My SOG Powerlock comes along if I really want to impress myself with how prepared I am  but honestly, my Victorinox Ranger is always with me, and probably is more useful.

Incidently, one reason I carry the somewhat bulky Ranger is that it's the smallest SAK I can find with saw, file, and scissors.

Well I like the Spyderco Chinook II Plain edge.It is a tank, strong lock, heavy duty folder as you can get.I also think the Benchmade 630 Skirmish would also be a good choice.I like CRK large Sebenza's also. The best survival knife is the one you have with you.

I've been told that the best survival knife is the one you're carrying when the survival situation occurs. So, I guess for me that would be a large sebenza and a victorinox fieldmaster.

The SAK Workchamp (my EDC for the moment) , if it has to be a one blade knife, I'll choose the Cold steel voyager 4 or 5 inch

I would go with my Charge if I could have only one, but if I was going in the woods I would carry my Charge, my Vic Outrider, and my Spyderco Military!

Hi,

I got a couple of them:

1. SAK Hunter in Onscene tactical neck sheath.

2. Doug Ritter RSK MK1
has been on my hip ever since I received it.

3 Chris Reeve Large Sebenza flat ground BG42 steel.

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

Bagheera

Of the ones I own:

Single blade folders: TOPS CQT Magnum 747 (Hunters Point/Bowie blade), Benchmade 806-D2. Both have awesome lock-up, great cutters, yet stout enough for harder tasks. Of the two, the TOPS is built like a tank and performs to almost fixed-blade quality. You can baton it through hardwood yet skin a small groundsquirrel with ease.

Would love a Strider folder or Al Mar SERE as well.

Multi-tool: My Leatherman Wave or SAK Rucksack.

My survival folder is a Benchmade Balisong Model 42. Tough, light, and 100% reliable. I don't have to worry about it folding back on my hand when I'm using it.
