I am wondering about the knife that you wish you didn't want, but still would like to have (or already own). I have a number of Busse's, Scrapyards, and Doziers. ML knives hand made blades, and Blind Horse Knives. I love quality blades, but I have always wanted a "Buckmaster". I know, I know........ Still, it was the first big knife I ever lusted after as a kid. I have never owned one, but would love to have one in the collection. Sorry, but true.

Kind of like I was with "Married with Children". I hated to tell anyone I watched it, but whenever I had a chance, I always seemed to float over and watch ole Al Bundy!!!!

I'm not ashamed of any of my knife desires, but I am kind of embarrased to admit that I think about buying a katana every now and again. It's like being a lower class than a mall-ninja. I'm a wannabe mall-ninja:(.

PS. If you own a Katana, please don't take this as a personal insult.

Embrace your inner mall ninja. SpecOps, Desert Storm Stealth Fighter, M4 Millie.

A mall samurai? :p

I just ordered a Spyderco Para 2. I have a folder for everyday of the week it seems, but after reading all the post about this knife I had to order it. It should be here tomorrow then I will play with it and go through buyers remorse thinking of all the things I could have bought instead of a new knife. After a couple of weeks I will be sitting at the window like a caged dog waiting for the UPS guy to drop off my next impulse buy.

I want a Roman gladius. Since I am a Latin teacher, I can halfway rationalize it as "instructional materials." :D

Hey OP, my first "expensive" knife was a black Buckmaster SEAL knife, anchor spikes and all! I worked all summer when I was 15 to save up for it, and spent way too much on it ($200)! When my mother found out what I spent all my money on, she flipped lol! ...wish I still had that thing, but it was stollen from me a few years back. :(

I still have a few guilty pleasure knives in my collection, like a CS Katana, a set of LOTR wall-hanger swords, and of course there is the knife that was my ultimate wet dream knife as a kid, that I still own and love to this day... the Hibben Rambo III bowie!

ive got the usual knives you might find in a average collection, a dozen spydercos ranging from the endura class threw the GB and Ti Sage, ZT ti framelock a couple cold steels , recon tanto tlite6" some kershaws, bucks, nice modded 119. Bark river bravo2 i got is almost in that guilty pleasure catagory. though one i really really want and just havnt pulled the trigger on it, mostly because i cant really justify it with any real need, its a purely just want to have item, that would be a actual sword, some kind of big bad real deal viking sword or knights of the round table type thing. probubly put that at the top of my guilty pleasure wish list.

Wow, sorry for your loss. Those Buckmasters might not have been the best design in the world, but boy are they collectable.

When I was much younger I remember getting a "junk Knife" catalogs in the mail and always lusting after the Legit autherized Rambo knives that were like 120$ I never did own one however like every young and poor knife enthusiest I did pick up 2 or 3 hollow handled survival knives and thought they were the coolest, things were so much more simple back then.

Everytime I'm in Harbor-Freight (a guilty-pleasure store of mine) I think about buying some of their big junky hollow-handled survival knives for some of my nephews. They would love me for it, my sister on the other hand...

My Gerber Yari II. It's basically a mall ninja's dream, blacked-out, partially serrated tanto, but it works quite well and the price was right. I just leave it strapped onto my camping gear and forget about it until I go into the woods.

A Kiwi brand cleaver I picked up from a local Vietnamese market for $12. Made in Taiwan from some mystery stainless. I use it more than anything else. Even took it camping this year. $12 well spent. I would buy another.

My favourite 'guilty pleasure' knife is the CRKT M16-01KZ. It's a very affordable folder, the 8Cr15MoV steel is adequate, it has an excellent pocket clip, good flipper deployment, solid lock-up (zero play,) and centers perfectly. It's just a nice light and compact design--just a shade bigger than a Vic Tinker.

My Al Mar SERE Operator in VG-10. I absolutely love it and have taken it on a couple of hunting trips and field dressed some big hogs, but admittedly, I don't use it very often as it's not a practical hunting knife.

Emerson knives. The only reason I still have my CQC-7 is because I think its the coolest looking knife out there. It has its flaws and I've gotten rid of other knives for lesser flaws but I still love it and cant seem to let it go.
