What is your favorite "guilty pleasure" knife

The old school German stag handled flip lever auto that I smuggle back on the QE 2 in 1985. I think it was stolen by one of my little brother's no account friends at some point.

That is easy, it is my Buck 110 Custom with American Oak inserts and a Paul Bos, S30V blade.

The SOG Flash 2 is a favorite of mine. It's light, fast, cheap, and I have it's edge razor sharp. I use it for every kind of tasks without guilt of marking up one of my $500.00 knives.

I found my favorite knife a while ago ; the Blind Horse bushcrafter. I always admired simple looking knives , carbon steel , riveted micarta handles and a Kephart-style knife . The BHK bushcrafter has all those qualities and comes with an awesome sheath.

...so I bought 3 of them.

:)

I have always wanted a "Buckmaster". I know, I know........ Still, it was the first big knife I ever lusted after as a kid.
For me it was the Rambo First Blood knife that hooked me. For an impressionable boy of 11, well that was just the most baddest ass thing me and my friends had seen since a lightsaber (which I still want, btw).
Fast Forward to 1984, me & my buddy Kevin saved our birthday/Christmas/lawnmowing/gutter cleaning money and bought ourselves big ass knives- he got the real deal Buckmaster, I got a Taiwanese knockoff... which kept right up with his Buck through many an adventure and really was a decent camp knife for many years. Lost it off the back of my dirtbike in the Mtns near Burney Falls, Ca a long time ago :(
So here they are, my "art" knives in dramatic diorama poses :)

This is my guilty pleasure: Del Tin blade cutlered by Museum Replicas when they were still owned by the late Hank Reinhardt. Cinquedea! My Yuna "Mini Hard 2" is next to it to give it scale.

There's a few that I hate to admit I'd love to own.

Definitely a Kitana/Wakizashi/Tai-Chi sword of some sort, but only if it's actually of quality build.

One of those huge lever-lock Italian switchblades with the overall length of 12-15" open

I'd also like to have one of those big 12"-bladed Bowie knives that look like they stepped out of a movie. You know the ones.

I have, and am actually carrying right now, a Paul Chen Citizen knife, which has almost no blade length, is so obtusely ground, as to be almost unusable, but it just looks so Damned cool!:D

I have a sweet spot (guilty:-)) for swords. Especially japanese swords. But if I ever get one, it has to be a user, not a wall hanger.

My Case Damascus Peanut with stag handle. It's like usable pocket jewelry,I love that little knife.

I'm not ashamed of any of my knife desires, but I am kind of embarrased to admit that I think about buying a katana every now and again. It's like being a lower class than a mall-ninja. I'm a wannabe mall-ninja:(.

PS. If you own a Katana, please don't take this as a personal insult.

G,day Coyote, had the desire but never admitted it:shame: but ordered one last night:D Go for it mate!

My guilty pleasure lately is Daggers. I got an Al Mar Fang in a trade and now I can't seem to stop buying dagger and fighting knives. I think I now have more daggers than folders :/

My guilty pleasure in the knife world are survival knives. If they've got a hollow handle, sawteeth or a combination of those two then I want it. I'm talking bout the good ones like CRKs, Randalls, Bucks, etc.

ETA: Here's the collection so far, unfortunately I sold my buckmaster some odd years back.:o
