What is your favorite knife movie scene?

Not sure of the knife but this is hilarious.

TV show NCIS:
Vance is in the hospital and Gibbs gives him his knife which Vance hides under the sheets and uses a bit later to stab the guy trying to kill him.

I hate to sound grim, but I like how when he stabs the guy all he has to do is control him until he fades out, and how he goes out of his way to not look him in the eyes during the process. Seems a bit more realistic in that aspect.

The fight scene from Eastern Promises was pretty good too, despite seeing waaaay more of Vigo Morteson than I ever wanted to.

Big trouble in little china - airport scene with Jeff Imada and balisong. Been hooked ever since.

Usually documentaries or a TV series showing Indigenous peoples cleaning and skinning game.

Lots of good and memorable scenes in this thread.

First thing I thought of was the basketball court scene in Expendables where Jason Statham lays out five or six guys, whips out his knife, does a flourish, and plants it in the basketball on the dude's chest.

Inglorious Basdards. Lots of good scalping. I'm a sick bastard yes....

1. Hallway fight in The Raid: Redemption mentioned previously - movie had a lot of great silat knife, stick and elbow stuff.

2. Various scenes throughout Olympus Has Fallen, where King Leonidas takes out badguys with his folder

3. Every fight, and the training, in High Art

Gangs of New York: Whenever they show Bill with his cleaver/sticker setup.

The finale of The Man From Nowhere. The protagonist brutally dispatches 5 of the main villain's thugs using some sort of fixed blade, before engaging in a 1 on 1 knife duel with the villain's lead bodyguard/enforcer, who is armed with a Cold Steel Steel Tiger karambit. Video starts with gunplay, devolves to hand to hand and knives at around the 1 minute mark. Word of warning, video is rated R:

The "hallway fight" in The Raid, where the protagonist fights his way down a hallway dispatching a bunch of thugs using his knife, nightstick, knees, elbows, and feet. This video is also R rated:

These movies were the first I thought of when I saw this thread.

Here is another, from the excellent Korean movie, "I Saw the Devil". Warning: An intense R-rating!

Note: I re-posted this clip to one without subtitles, because the English subs included a word unacceptable to post in the general forums.

It's more of a shot than a scene, but I love the part in Kill Bill: Vol. I where Uma Thurman ends her violent confrontation with Vernita Green with a knife throw to the chest--followed by an extreme close-up of her sliding a sick-looking knife into a sick-looking sheath.

Also the "knife game" scene with Bishop in Aliens.

I've always liked the knife scene from Saving Private Ryan.

Agreed. Probably one of the most haunting on screen scenes. With the german soldiers "Shhhhh shhhhhhh shhhhhh...." as the blade drives home, you can just feel the desperation, the inevitable slowly unfolding in front of you. That scene stayed with me a long time.
And of course the parody to it where Family Guy's Peter shanks Yogi Bear from behind "Shhh shhhhh shhhhh" "tell all your friends what you saw here today"... classic.

Never noticed it before but when his magazine runs empty the gun still makes a clicking sound like the bolt is still cycling but there are no shot fired. Lol.
