What is your favorite knife that has come out in the last 3 years?

toughie...

Kershaw/Ken Onion Boa
Ken Onion Chive
Spyderco Chinook
Spyderco/Bob Lum Chinese Folder
MicroTech LCC D/A

That would be a Spyderco Tim Wegner with G-10 handles, and ATS-34 steel. This is my fav, and a great knife.

I'm not sure how long it's been around, but if you aren't already familiar with the REKAT Sifu you need to check it out! The Sifu isn't just another megafolder; the design is beautiful, functional, and built for hard use.

Can't limit it to one. Will limit it to knives I own, which leaves out the LCC, the 710, and the Timberline Vallotten Discovery Lock.
Mine, in no particular order:
CRKT LUS
CRKT KFF - large
CRKT Companion
Spyderco Wegner -- if it was in last 3 years
Spyderco Native
Outdoor Edge Paragee
OE Magna
OE Impulse

Thus far, IMHO, the Edge Tech division of Outdoor Edge has hit nothing but homers. The Paragee is much like the Camillus EDC. Except less expensive and better. The Magna is a brute, with fine fit/finish. The Impulse has so much style it is easy to overlook what a good, versatile knife it really is. All are tremendous bangs for the buck.

My Sebenza was born in '99, if that counts.

Welcome back!

These are easily my top 4 fave productions of the last 3 years.

Emerson Commander
Microtech Combat Talon
Microtech Halo III Tactical
Microtech LCC/DA

The REKAT SIFU:

Well made, affordable, and politically incorrect. A nice change of pace from the everyday.

N2S

BM 710HS - plain edge, M2 steel. Great feel in the hand.

Consider modifications to the blade, ala Joe Talmadge's suggestions. I will, when feeling more courageous and experienced with sharpening.

at less than $120, a great buy.

Another vote for the MT LCC DA. Next in order, LCC MA and then Ken
Onion black BOA. But wait! Al Mar Sere 2K or BM 690 or William Henry
T12 CF or BM 770 or 730????? SIGH!

1. Sifu

2. Sifu SE D2

3. CRKT KFF

I like the Ken Onions from Kershaw as well, but the speedsafe has to have a little more blade play to operate than what I like. I'm interested in the new little Chive model. I'll let you know after it gets here next week.

The Bencmade 710 series ar my favorites. That's why I own three of them :
BM 710 HSSR (M2, combo-edge) :D
BM 710 BTS (black-ti coated, ATS-34, combo-edge)
BM 710 S (ATS-34, combo-edge)

After yesterday the winner hands down is the Camillus EDC. Best of the best, especially for the price.

REKAT Sifu
REKAT Carnivour/Carnivour Cub
REKAT Pioneer II
Camillus Cuda 154CM EDC
Camillus Cuda CQB-1

Wow, I didn't think this many people would be so willing to help me on my decision! This is just as good, if not better than the bladeforums that I knew from a few years back. After careful consideration I think I have narrowed it down to A Sebenza, A Benchmade Ares AXIS lock, and maybe a microtech SOCOM. Once again, thanks to all of you who took your time to respond.

Storm, BM is producing a short run (500 max) of the 730 Ares Axis in black coated M-2 smooth blade style, with carbon fiber scales. Shipping them towards the end of July / early August. My supplier will be selling at or near $120.

Benchmade 705. It is very sturdy and smooth. Both the Mel Pardue Axis and the Warren Osbourne Axis are also great knives.

Absolutely impossible to name just one. If I had to I would say the Spyderco Wegner with the Benchmade 710 as a close second.

Most respondants assumed you meant "production" knives, and folders at that. I will too:

BM 710 Axis, either steel, both have pros/cons.
Spyderco Starmate
Spyderco Wegner (it's probably been out more than 3 years now I guess)
Microtech LCC

Too bad BM or MT didn't get the Darrel Ralph EDC design from him. I have a custom version, and a good production version w/ premium steel and G10 or micarta could become a favorite working blade, if it had a good sturdy lockup.
