What is your favorite knife to make?
Mine in particular are as follows:
Bowies
Fighters
Bali's
Now for what actually sells the best may be a different story...

smaller EDC drop points and skinners. I enjoy designing, profiling and grinding smaller knives.

I deleted the duplicate thread.

For me:
High Art knives
Japanese swords and knives
Kitchen knives (Japanese and Western)
Filet knives

Slipjoint and lockback folders
Bowie
Tanto

For me it's Kepharts, plenty of challenge to adhere to the original as close as I am able, and I really appreciate tradition. I also love to make gauchos but in an American West style with antler and leather elements. Bird and Trouts too, there's so many interpretations on those and all really handy!

while I technically enjoy making practical knives the most, I sometimes enjoy making the odd shank just a little moster ;)
folding knives are probably my favourite kind to make, up til this point. I enjoy thinking about the mechanics of them quite a bit, and all the fiddling around
as for type, I do love me some badass choppers! And big ole jungle knives/survival/combat types
on the other end of the spectrum, I really like making food knives, because they for sure will get used. Not sure I feel the same way about making shanks.

I probably enjoy making fillet knives the most, then slip joints, and #3 would be friction folders.

Small lil EDC/cowboy knives. Vast majority have blades between 2-3"s.

i love making those full size chef knives from thick stock, full length distal taper, hollow fullers and convexed bevels, and a frame or hidden tang handle

Currently I’m on a wsk tracker craze!! I’m trying to refine my own variation of it currently! Just something about the design that I like!

Have always had a thing for Randall fighters (Mainly because I could never afford one) second is a Musso style Bowie.
Have my own versions of ea just need to dig out the pics from an old DVD.

Hahaahaha.

Seriously, I wonder the same thing. I've often walked out into the shop wondering, "At least what part of the process I enjoy at all?"

As I think of each phase it goes from "OK today is the boring part" to "OK today is the scary part -risk screwing up". Then I realize all the phases aren't so great.

Hand sanding is nice because it's methodical and low risk of screwing up.

At the end of the day, the most enjoyment comes from finishing any kinda knife.

I just generally like making Stuff/anything.....and feeling useful.

I like that other people want my knives, even though that doesn't seem real to me yet.
