  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What is your favorite knife with custom scales?

my 581 scales that are almost done :P

I still need to polish the bevels and even up the mokume with the carbon fiber, but I only need 5 minutes on my belt sander when I get home next week. This is gonna be HOT

this is how the blade looks, obviously this is a previous state

Rsq, that is absolutely sick! The new handle profile you're giving it is really awesome. I'm quite interested in seeing the finished product.

Goddamn, don't know which one is my favorite. Crazy thing with knives, they are a tool, a means of defense, and a work of art all in one. Working on another picture theme to try to get more people to share their blades. Great pics and scales!!

So jealous. I have zero custom handles.

But many of my kitchen knives are wooden octagonal handles. But came that way :/

Southard I made from a piece of Macassar Ebony that I have had in my scrap box since the early '90s.
And my ZT560 2x2 CF Twill, my first CF work.

Definitely one of my Southards:

If you've been in doubt about liking a particular knife, a simple change as adding real G10 scales can do wonders in getting your mind right; if only the manufactuer's would think this way....
