What is your favorite knife?

Fixed blade: Grohmann D.H.Russell Belt Knife #1. Folder: Benchmade 710 Axis lock. Standa

My favorite knife?

Folder is the Spyderco Wegner
Fixed is my Puma hunter from the 50's
Bali is my Pacific Cutlery
Auto is my Italian stilletto
Bowie is my Case

I know thats five categories, but that is a hard question to answer.

Geez this is a tough one. 2 mos from now it will all change.

Currently:
Folder: the BM 720. Was at the recycling center tonight and boy did it zip through some heavy cardboard boxes like they were nothing. This knife just continues to make me grin.

Fixed: probably the Busse Lean Mean Street or the Dozier Professional Guides Knife. I can't decide. I get all tingly thinking about either one of them.

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

For now it's my BM710bt, but that's only because I can't get myself to rationalize buying a Sifu

My all around favorite is a Victorinox Rambler- similar to their Classic Swiss Army knife, but with a Philips screwdriver added.
In the collection, a Fox Cutlery Damascus folder w/briar wood handles.

My favorite knife is the one I am making at the time. Every knife I make is better than the one before.

Favorite knives that I currently own:

Case Mini-trapper, nice little folder, plus it was the first knife my wife picked out to give to me.

I carry a BM 720 the most and a Buck Strider for chores.

A Geno Denning #6 for a favorite fixed blade. Really well made and the Loveless droppoint design is super useful.

Lately, it has been the Darrel Ralph Arc Lite.

Strong little knife that cuts 99.99% of the jobs the average dude encounters in a day, a month, or a decade for that matter. Easy to carry, ergonomic, pretty.

I don't really have any favorites, but I do like the knives that I carry. For a folder, lately it's been a Cold Steel Voyager XL. For a fixed blade, I just got this Chuck Stapel fighter in a leather slip sheath.

My favorite large folder is the Schrade LB7 (heavy but 100% reliable).
Favorite pocketknife is my Victorinox Electrician.

Folder: Spyderco Military, fully serrated
Fixed: Cold Steel Carbon V black Kobun Tanto

Fixed blade: Randall 6" Hunters' Bowie now 40 years old

Folder: Terzuola/Spyderco StarMate, but with the BenchMade 940 Osborne Axis Lock closing fast as it is such a nice little gentleman's folder
