What is your favorite locking mechanism and why?

As long as it is a quality lock (sturdy lockup, easy open, easy close,) then I usually like it, espescially when it is Axis, Linerlock, Or Half-Lockback like Spyderco's.

I have knives with framelock, liner lock, axis lock, and standard lockback, but I like the compression lock on my Para the best. Very solid, very easy to operate without ever getting my fingers in the way of the blade (I can easily close it without even touching the blade).

Never tried a compression knife. I trust the lockback most but am ok with a frame lock. Axis are too easily gummed up and liner locks slip. Too bad my EDC is a liner lock. Whay can't Mr Emerson make a lockback CQC7A?
