Thanks all, I'm really not surprised by the results. I have to go for the Axis lock myself, with the frame being a close second.
Definitely agreed that the frame and axis lock are among the best. However, I appreciate a good linear lock as well.

Ive really grown to dig the compression lock. But the AXIS lock is almost as good.

I only lock I don't like that I have tried is the lockback. I just think there are much better locks such as the framelock, Axis lock, compression lock, etc.
The lockback is ok. And it was one of the first locks, so it has that significance.

Most definitely Framelocks for me. But compression, Axis, and liner locks are all good locks that I have used daily and like to carry. Lockbacks and tri-ad are good locks that I also own but don't personally like to carry for their significant resistance (though doable) to quick one hand operation.

I have to smirk a bit when i see people throw around the word 'best' as a final statement. There is no best people, there are only the most suited for a certain task or your favorite because it's your preference. Same question as 'what's the best steel?' there is none, same reasoning as above.

Frame lock sebenzas/inkosi, compression and axis locks are my favorite when on the couch fondling or to pull out for EDC cutting, but my Tri-Ad lock and back-locks are my favorite when doing hard work around the house, cos i prefer the peace of mind. I like all locks, they just all have different times to shine.
