What is your favorite military issued knife

Continuing our virtual tour. This is the Parang Lurus used in Java. This one has handle and scabbard plated in silver and has a "meteorite" (damascus) blade.

I had to think long and hard. Have many model military knives. Forced to make a decision, it would be the ka-bar Navy Model 2. Size/potential conceal-ability, weight. Adding some thoughts. For ME, an acceptable knife blade size is in the range of 5 - 5.5 long. I have longer military blades and shorter military blades. My thought is that if the knife is too bulky or too heavy, I might not carry it.

I do modify some of my knives and change sheathes. I was thinking only about stock offerings. You could hand me and a lot of guys on the board the modern version of the old Ontario 499 survival knife and we would could easily transform it into a great knife with a great sheath. However, it would not be stock issue.

My mentor wanted saw blade Glock knives. A great knife. However, he had a professional sharpening job done to change grind. So it is not stock. I took pre-saw blade models and put them in non stock Spec-Ops sheathes without changing the grind. Again not stock then. And, I even got the same Glock model (no longer offered in the US) after production was purportedly terminated. So, again, not available.
