About six years ago, I was in a Gander Mountain store looking at their selection of handguns. I asked the clerk what they would charge me to order a Ruger SP101 or S&W Model 60. A manager overheard my question and told me in a rather snotty tone of voice that their policy is to not sell any guns with less than 4" barrel. Apparently, anything that is often intended for self-defense is not allowed. I won't give my money to any store that has that policy.

I was in Academy yesterday, and I saw two Bushmaster AR-15's. Anybody else able to beat that?

Tarsier... I think that must have been a personal policy and not a company policy. I have seen S&W 642's and other <4" barreled guns at both the GM's near me for years. I guess that manager was just a snotty prick.
