What Is Your Favorite Reate Knife?

The only thing about the brass jack is its very heavy...
Yup. But, I can dig it. I really can..
I've always liked a well built knife with some heft to it. But, this will be far beyond anything.
Very excited about it.

I ordered a Reate Crossroads. I just received the Augustus and Epoch. They look and feel like custom knives! They came sharp as a razor and flip smooth as silk. Now I want to try a Liong Mah Warrior 2. Man, these knives are really outstanding.

I think you'd love the Warrior 2, Razor.

It flips great with a perfect detent, the action is super smooth, the blade is finished really well (it's got different grinds going in different directions), lock up is ultra solid, etc.

It feels very, very high end. I really like the Liong Mah designs, too.

What model is the top knife?

I think it's the original Reate J.A.C.K.

I think the 2.0 is the one that has the removable/replaceable blade. I'd link you to the knife, but I think there are some times when that's not allowed.

Choices for me are extremely limited. AFAIK Reate has only made 2 leftys.
I own one. The SBD Micro Evo Typhoon. I absolutely love it.
The other they make is the Liong Mah KUF V2. I've almost pulled the trigger a couple of times, but I just can't get over that ridiculous, martian antennae looking flipper tab it has.

I just got my Liong Mah Warrior 2. Man, what a knife! It fits my hand perfect, flips smooth as silk, and I love the blade shape. Now I am thinking about a Warrior 1. Reate is making some great knives. I would say they are as good as any knives made at this point in time.

Smooth as silk is a good way to describe my Warrior 2. I don't know what kind of tolerances those things are built to, but they are definitely smooth.

The blade grinds are my favorite part of the knife. I guess that's a little silly, but they make a real impression in hand.

I think Reate is pretty awesome. It was the first and still the best premium Chinese brand I tried. Tolerances are astounding, machining is fantastic, and over all quality and resale value are through the roof.

I've got a couple of WE Knives, too. They're excellent quality with great fit and finish. Reate somehow takes it one step further. Like Razor, it makes me want to add more to my collection.

The GSD V2 looks to be pretty nice.

I just order a K2 and a Hills. I wanted to see how the K2 compares to the Warrior 2. Lol Broke now.

Knifeworks had the Reate Hill for $189. I thought it would be worth that. Does anyone own one?

I don’t have any “Reate” Reates (yet...:D) but I absolutely love the knives I have that are produced by them. And as great as those are these two have to be at the very top of the heap. The f&f is exceptional of course but the level of detail on these is just plain ridiculous.

P.S. I really regret sleeping on the original J.A.C.K. in carbon fiber and Damasteel.:(
