Bark river makes a lot of traditional blade styles in 3v1095, 5160, O1, 3V.
1095 is my most used fixed blade steel. Cheap, works and dead nuts simple to sharpen. Works great as a beater knife.
I like O1 and 5160, have limited samples for it. 5160 is my hunting knife, works great. O1 tends to be my camping knife.
I love 3V, but it seems to be next to impossible to get one in a non-tactical pattern. I love my wood scales and leather sheaths.
It's a Bohler steel not too dissimilar to Crucible's 3V. A bit more of everything, except lacking 3V's small amount of Tungsten and no Silica.Anyone familiar with Vanadis 4 extra steel?
