Inspired by this thread, I was wondering what fixed blade knife you carry all the time?

I have a good source for a SOG SEAL 2000 or Tigershark for a great price, but they are pretty big. Another one I've considered is the Benchmade Nimravus, but its pretty expensive (for me anyway).

So, what do you carry all the time?

Soon to be carrying a CRKT P/K Companion in rotation with a Desperado if this guy emails me back. Haven't heard from him in awhile. (Anyone know a Edd Harbin?)

Either way The CRKT P/K Companion comes first. Hopefully with a custum sheath from normark. ;)

I rotate three fixed blades as my EDCs. The one that I carry the most is my Ed Fowler Pronghorn, next is my integral hunter by Ron Leuschen and now that it is back from getting some touch ups I am again carrying my Dunkerley bird & trout knife.

Once I start getting some of my other knives that are on order I will be adding them to the rotation as well.

One of the following depending on mood/expected conditions:

Mora #1
CS Recon Tanto
CS mini Bushman
Mora 2000
SOG Northwest Ranger
CS Mini Tanto

I need to look up a lot of those knives because I've never seen them before!

What would you say should be the size limit for an EDC fixed blade?

jones bros. JK29 with ironwood scales and D2 steel
neil blackwood smallgame D2 and spalted maple scales or
a rekat drop point utility necker with 1095

If I'm going to carry a fixed blade (maybe 20% of the time) its one of these three:

1. Elrod; 5 3/4"; Engraved; Ironwood
2. Muelay; 6"; Stag
3. Lynn; 6 1/4"; Micarta; Necklace Knife

Either a Fred Perrin griffe or the EMERSON version, always rotate weekly. Also a BLADERIGGER credit card blade and matching wallet. As for a general purpose utility knife i just aquired a LYNN GRIFFITH MNK1 the whole knife is about 3 inches long, just the right size for my daily needs. Sometimes when im shopping ill take my BLADERIGGER OMEGA 3 check book/knife combo. Im not trying to brag its just that i like FRED PERRIN and JAMES PIOREKS work! Then again i just have this love affair with fixed blades.:D

Currently I'm carrying a Camillus Cuda Arclite around my neck as my EDC. Great little knife for $20, I was really impressed with it. For my birthday in Sept. my wonderful wife is getting me a Dozier Straight Personal in coral micarta that will be my EDC. It already came but I have to leave it sitting in the box untill then....its torture...but its a really nice looking knife!

I usually select one of the following depending on the circumstances...

CRKT P/K Companion
CS Desperado
Polkowski 8 Ball
Randall Model 14

Bud Nealy Aikuchi.

I carry a Newt Livesay NRGS-executive. Well-made, wickedly sharp, and $55.00 in a kydex neck sheath.

I keep the blade length to a maximum of 4 1/2". Of course that is just my own idea of a good length for EDC carry in a high population area.

The CRKT Companion. I don't carry it very often before because it wasn't easy, but figuring out how to use Normark's sheath helps.
I have a CRKT F4 but I don't normally wear it as a sheath knife on a belt.

A Outdoor edge wedge with no clips, lanyards etc just dropped into rf pocket. Sometimes carry a wedge II. I just emailed Jensen Elite Blades about making me a mini Karracci of about 6-6.5" OAL........should be a kickass little edc FB when'if he ever gets time to make it!

But is that to keep other people from being scared of you, or for comfort and ease of carrying?
