What is your fixed blade EDC?

i rotate around too.......

polkawski companion 4" - carry this 1 quite a bit, bought it after i got a CRKT companion, liked it, but wanted a longer blade - only con, its kinda heavy/not crazy about the sheath

MOD razorback - a cool, light, well designed knife imho, cons are not a full tang construction (though looks plenty strong) and again, not in love w/the sheath, ok though for gen'l carry i guess - i carry mine alot when biking/etc, have had for 2 yrs or so, and used more than any other fixed blades i have had in the last few yrs, cant carry my gerber mark 11 any more much, darn it, a great EDC imho, but sadly, not legal here in texas

nealy 5" pesh-kebz M2 steel blade - got this one a while back (2 months, buds had it longer than i have BY FAR lol) and the coating was messed up, and didnt like the MCS system so much. sent to bud, he made me a MASS system for it, and we are waiting for the coating guys to get back from vacation to re-coat - i THINK this si gonna be similar to the sheath on my old gerber mark 1, w/a metal clip, etc, which is exactly what i have been looking for, G-clips be damned lol. i should get it back w/in 2 wks, and bud has assured me it will be head and shoulders above the others for concealability/speed of draw/ease of use(clip on-off)/MUCH lighter for sure/etc, cant wait to see if its true, i think its gonna work out though- i do know it is MUCH lighter than the companion, w/a longer blade, really ergonomic handle too, and a cool blade shape imho - nealy makes some good stuff imho

Hello to everybody,
I´m one of the new members. I carry a Fällkniven WM 1 every day. Sometimes as a neckknife, but most of the time in my right front pocket. I attached the kydex with a piece of paracord to my waistband.

Finrod :)

My favorites are a couple from R.W. Clark. A mini-aikuchi necker and a 3 1/2" M.A.U. in a Kydex, cross-draw setup. They make a very nice pair, one with maroon and the other with black Rayskin, both covered with epoxied black cord wrap. Beautiful temper lines, nice thin edges and the 0-1 blades take a stunning edge.

You have your straight personal and your wife won't let you unwrap it until your birthday?! :( Man, that hurts, but think of the anticipation. I sure hope you can post a pic of that coral micarta when you get to finally open it.
As you can tell, the major player in my fixed-blade rotation is a Dozier straight personal. This is about the perfect knife in my book. Also in my rotation is a Dozier toothpick, and a Lamey urban bowie which is newly received. In about a year, I will be getting a Primos tactical... talk about the anticipation!

Mongo, my dear man. You WILL love the Primos to be sure. I am sure that your other pieces will be getting a lot LESS carry time after that knife arrives. Nice choices in the Dozier's and Lamey as well. My Lamey is just a tad to big for daily carry (7" Camp Bowie) and my Primos drop point is reserved for hunting season.

Mini-Talon - Extraordinarily tiny, but the thing just cuts and cuts and cuts and cuts....... The ergonomics are amazingly comfortable for such a small knife. And I even like the sheath. The knife works great with the mini Tek-Lok.

BlackJack Small - One of the best cutters in my collection. It's hard to beat convex ground 52-100. Ken Warner has a stroke of brilliance with this knife. The back pocket sheath isn't the best quality in the world, but it's very comvenient and reasonably comfortable in my Levi 501s. This knife is one of those "must-haves" for people who want to carry a fixed blade in public, but don't want the attention that fixed blades often garner. Oh yah..... The three finger handle is very well proportioned and comfortable.

I do not carry FB every day but if I do, it is either Talon by Camillus (or Minitalon by Simonich) or FB by Mike Irie (which I modified a bit to look like a Talon :) )

Spyderco Moran.

I like it because the handle is very comfortable, the entire package is compact enough to fit in my pocket sheathed, lightweight, and inexpensive to replace.

How about some pictures or a web address to see the BlackJack Small?

Fellow Nu Jorker could perhaps use something like this.

Currently switching between three: Kurt Meerdink TomCat; Al Polkowski Amigo and Greg Lightfoot C4. Oh, yeah, plus a TOPS Night Chaser.

Okay. Here a couple of quick pics of the Blackjack Small. It has a 3 inch blade of 52-100, and is convex ground. The handle is laminated walnut. OAL is 6 3/4 inches.

They can be ordered online from Knifeware.com

I've got my eye on the new Seki-cut Bob Lum designed fixed blades. VG-10 blade steel is one of my favorites. They are available with bolsters and cocobolo handles or micarta scales. I'm hoping someone else will do a review of these before I buy one. :)

Wow! Some very beautiful knives posted in this thread! I love carrying my FBs. My rotation includes customs from Posner, Fraley, Dawson, our own Taz, and now also Eric Chang. There'll be a Clark in there in the early fall. Otherwise, there's also my Dozier K1. All of these have from 2.5 to 4 inch blades.

When I'm camping I go to a 5" blade, and that is usually a Livesay Air Assault, but I'm thinking my E. Chang heavy hunter (4" blade) might just replace it. Then again, if I'm going ultralite, its going to be either my feather weight 4" Wesolowski, or my $25 Mora 2000!

Lots of choices. So many its really too much; or is it?

I sometimes carry a CRKT companion inside my waistband, but the sheath is a bit uncomfortable, I'm planning on getting rid of that horrid clip, and bolting on a freaking leather loop. I used to carry a Companion in a shoulder rig, but the original knife and the rig were stolen (don't ask).
I also usually have a little neck knife with an inch-and-a-half skinner blade in my pocket, it was like a buck on e-bay, but for some wierd reason, I think it's the neatest little thing. Even though the quality leaves much to be desired (duh), it was a good deal for a dollar, and tiny.
I just gave my girlfriend a CRKT Bearclaw today, so we'll see how she likes carrying that.

Neck knives aside, I generally rotate among four: Dozier skeleton handle utility, Dozier Toothpick, Campos tanto, and Irie Skean Dhu. Following is a pic of the Irie, borrowed from BladeArt. The rest can be seen on my fixed blade page.

I carry anything from my old Kabar to a long out of production EK Mark-5 with Micarta handles. It depends on what I might be doing. I usually back it up with an Al Mar Sere 2000. After reviewing the forum yesterday, I placed an order for a Camp Tramp from SwampRat Knives. Thanks for the tip.
