What is your go to sharpening for Delta 3v?

I have used the Spyderco ceramic rods and strop for a long time, use DMT diamond stones for trail machete’s/hatchet/axe (keep in my pack), and I keep a Worksharp at the cabin because it is versatile but quite small. Always like to see what the experts are using. Thank y’all for responding with what you use.

I keep this in my work vehicle. It’s small and gives plenty of options.

This kind of sharpener that has a little plastic wedge set at 20° makes people think they're sharpening their knives at 20° but if you set it to the opposite bevel, and your bevels are 5°, your edge is actually 25°. It has to be relative to the center line of the blade and most people don't get that right.

Sometimes you will see people making claims about how durable something is at a seemingly very narrow angle, and I think it is often a confusion caused by a system like this.

"I sharpened this knife at 15° per side" and it's actually 20.

I take them off when I use them.

So far I haven’t had to actually sharpen a CPK, only touch up or strop it to get the edge sticky sharp. Spyderco Sharpmaker and nothing special on the strop, just black compound on one side, green on the other.

I should try something different, I’ve been wanting a new strop as mine is getting wavy and looking a little tired.
