What is your most beat, abused, or thrashed knife?

Nothing too abusive, but the Sage 3 is my go to dirty or harder use knife. I have fixed the edge three times after it chipped/rolled, gotten the blade stuck open from exerting so much force to cut that the bolt went further in than normal. I have absolute confidence in this knife to deliver in whatever situation I need it to.

No damage, just some dirty and cleaned up shots

Cheap Chinese cleaver in 4Cr13.

Used it to do alot of things including hacking chickens into pieces in a hurry, opening bottles/sticky lids, breaking up lamb legs, cutting ribs in a hurry and random mayhem.

A little work on a steel or few passes on my stones and it's ready for work again

no picks, but for folders hands down has to be my boker bulldog. She still works wonderfully.

fixed has got to be my CS latin machete, broke the tip at least 4 times. just re profiled it and when back to business

Benchmade 740 Dejavoo.

In the factory for a new blade.

I'm not the type to beat on any of my tools. Specifically my knife rotation is such that none of them see all that much use, so they are more stroked than beat on. I know that didn't sound appropriate.

Probably camillus cuda sarkis. Because I had the highest hopes and the biggest disappointment. Also is big and goofy as Andre the giant so it just takes it

This happened to today. I have Edc'd this knife for 10 years. She finally gave out. I put this knife through a lot. May it rest in peace.

This I don't get, why wouldn't you buy and use a $10 pry bar to do this and why would you be so nonchalant about abusing your knife?

I don't get it, I never will, it's your money, your knife more power to you. what I don't like it's people who abuse warranties by abusing their knives and getting them replaced under warranty again and again.

I think most warranties would void due to this kind of breakage, no? If it was just a ten dollar blade he'd probably just go get another one rather than deal with trying to get it replaced under warranty.

I don't know the price of that knife but I would guess any knife he chooses not to sharpen for years must be cheap...

I'm not sure what I paid for it. Over 10 years ago. I don't care about a warranty.(never even crossed my mind) This Knife has been there done that.

Just more convenient to have this, than carry a pry bar. I admit I took it to fail but it was fun and I have no regrets. I'm now making a mini neck knife out the left over blade.

No pictures yet for me (cuz I'm new), but my most abused knife would have to be my Leatherman Skeletool. I've used it camping and hiking for years and it just won't quit! Along with that my SOG Yellow Zytel Flash 2, it's been along with me for a while in the woods.

Battle proof, like I said before, your money, your knife, I'm not one to tell someone what to do with their stuff and if you're not a warranty abuser that's fine too.

10-4. Ya, im not a warranty buster (never have). I got so much use out of this knife, however I do keep my New ones very clean. Please don't think I dont treat my tools with respect, because of this one knife. It had it's purpose and it will continue to live on as a neck knife.

I understand where you are coming from:thumbup:

cheers, battle

Probably my Mora Heavy Duty. I don't really use my knives that often but I've used my Mora the most. Since it's inexpensive I'm not afraid to break it, but I doubt it will. I really like how it feels and it carves nicely so I use it the most. I'm planning on upgrading to a BK16 in the future and modding it.

Buck Strider Police model.Years of landscaping and it still locks up tight and remains very strong. The ats34 blade has been a good working steel. Good edge retention and pretty tough. Good corrosion resistance. I m not afraid to use it hard, but I don t abuse my tools. I hope my new sng will last as well as this one.

Here's my old first generation Native that was my EDC for many years till I went to a small fixed blade . Both ends of the handle show the scars of popping open many a bottle ;) and it's cut more things than you can think of .
