If you could choose THE ONE most comfortable folder, and THE ONE most comfortable fixed blade, which would you choose? This isn't which knife you like the best out of your collection, I mean the ones that even though they may not be your favorite they are the easiest to forget about.

For me:

Fixed: Becker BK14 - the sheath from the factory is excellent, allows for neck or belt carry with clip, and the size/weight of the blade seems to be a perfect match, added to this is the skeletonized tang which in my case is paracord wrapped, so there is neligable weight increase.

Folder: Spyderco Native frn - small, thin, amazingly light, round sides of the handles and lack of liners, so small that I constantly have to tell myself I didn't forget to put it on at home.

Anything that isn't my 0200 or my Adamas. I carry them constantly, so carrying my JYD this week so far has been awesome. I always forget I even have it on me simply because I don't feel a brick clipped to my pocket.

Small, skinny, & light = comfortable.

Comfortable folders:
Kershaw Skyline
CRKT Ripple 2
Spyderco Dragonfly 2
Spyderco Chaparral

Comfortable Fixed-Blade:
Esee Candiru

Folder is either my SAK compact or para 2 i usually carry both and never notice them.
i cant say much on fixed though, the odd chance i ever had one, it was in a pack or in my hand most of the time.

Folder- ZT 0560, just fits my hand perfect, deep carry clip makes it disappear
Fixed- Spartan Enyo, slim, light and outstanding sheath design, I wear it on my belt under my duty belt while at work (LEO) and forget its there for ten hour shifts

Easiest to forget you have...? From my collection:

Folder: Chris Reeve Mnandi (even clipped to a shirt pocket!)
Fixed: ESEE Izula (horizontal belt carry w/ paracord)

Fixed - Benchmade 162, I like that it rides high on my hip, doesn't get in the way. Personally, I hate the low riding dangler sheaths...

Folder - BM shot show grip, not too big, not too small, rides "just right" in my tactical pants:thumbup:

Benchmade 943. The 710 is a close second, which is impressive because small, it ain't.

Easy answer for me! The ZT 801 for the folder and the Fletcher Knives pro 6-5 for the fixed blade!

Folder - My CRKT Eros. So light I never even notice it.

Fixed - My JK Knives Supporters Knife. Small, light and easily pocketable.

Difficult to pick one folder or fixed blade, I've got several that carry very well. FRN Spydies without liners are super light and usually quite thin, my Centofantes probably take the prize. However, my ZDP-189 Lum Chinese folder is the one I grab when I need good cutting performance and minimum weight/bulk.

With fixed blades I honestly don't have a favourite. Most of the knives I carry on my person are in the 4-5" blade length range, and if the factory sheath isn't to my liking I just make one. So they all carry nicely.

My EDCs haven't changed in 2 years and I am so used to them being in place, I don't even notice that they are there. In fact I'm more likely to notice that they are NOT in their places.

My folders are a Buck 484/482 combo (LFP/RFP clip carry).
My fixed EDC for day-to-day, go to town carry is one of the smaller Kabars, 90% of the time, a Kabar 1232.

The other 10% of town carry is one of the Kabar 3/4 size knives, the 1250/1251/1252/1254/1255/1256/1257/1261.

While they are 5.25"/9.25" (vs 4"/8.125"), the difference in length and weight is negligible compared to the 1232, at least for me.

My most comfy folder would either be my ESEE Zancudo (with a BM deep carry clip that positions the top of the handle just below pocket line) or my Kershaw Shallot (also with deep carry clip) because of how thin they both are and how well they ride in pocket.

Not the most comfy, but the most surprising just how comfy it is for such a large knife is my BM 710. It doesn't exactly "disappear in the pocket", but it carries better than some knives having ~1" less blade. It's the only knife over 3.5" I'll front pocket carry.

Most comfortable in hand... ZT 0301.
Most comfortable in pocket... Leek (frame lock).

Most comfortable folder is probably my Para 2.
A close runner-up is my Protech half-breed. It's under 2 ounces and somehow still manages to fill my hand.

Most comfortable fixed blade I own is the modern iteration of the standard KaBar, with the kydex sheath and kraton handle. It just fits my hand really well. Moras are definitely much lighter on the belt though.

Folder: CS XL Voyager- very flat & lightweight for its size, I really do forget I have it in my pocket.
Fixed: Busse Sterile AMS in Okuden Kydex (for now), static cord pocket carry. Same as the Voyager, I forget it's there.
