Okay fellas - story time :)

[Story Begin]
So I went to the pawn shop a few weeks ago where they carry (and are authorized BM dealers) benchmade knives. I go there every once in a while to see what's new and how the knives feel. Well in the display case I saw the new H2O model, the 111SH2O in black and neon yellow. They were very comfortable (to me at least, I've heard otherwise of them) and had that familiar shape of the benchmade Rift. I enjoyed the handle so much that I was intent on buying it. So after putting a little bit of money aside, I went in and bought the black handled version a few days ago. It's simply amazing and I love how the handle contours to my hand.

A plus to me is that it has N680 steel, and is supposed to be great for working around water (living by the coast this is a very good thing). The tip being rounded downwards works great for me because it will potentially be my rescue knife once I graduate from the Academy

[/End Story]

So I was wondering what knife is your most comfortable to:
1. Hold?
2. Use?
3. Fit nicely in your pocket?

The knife in my story fits all three of these descriptions (BM 111SH2O), but your responses could include more than one knife. Some knives are great to hold, but create hot spots when used (such as grasping like a fist).

My most comfortable knife is the XM-18. But the most comfortable knife (in hand, not so much comfortable in the pocket) that I've ever owned was the old school Large Manix. The Mini Manix was great too.

My XM was probably the most comfy for everything really... Now the manix 2 is probably the most comfy folder, and the BRKT STS3 most comfy fixed... Combative Edge M1 gets the cake for pocket... since it's the only folder I have with a Ti clip side :)

DDR HTM Gunhammer 2 for all three categories. I have long fingers and the width of the knife fits my hand nicely, being a fatter knife than most.

Most comfortable to hold? Spyderco Lava. The deep choil and contours glue it to my hand.

Use? Way too many to list.

Most comfortable in pocket? Case Swayback Jack or Northfield E-Z-Open, or other similar sized (Roughly 3 inches closed) knives. Slip into my jean's watch pocket and I don't even realize they're there. When it comes to ones with clips, Spyderco Centofante 3 or Rookie. Slim and light and again, I hardly notice they're there. I've developed a reflex of touching my pocket every few minutes when doing anything strenuous to make sure I haven't lost a knife.

Most comfortable to hold, use, and fit in pocket describes the Spyderco sage series and the Sage 2 in particular for me. Ergos are outstanding, FFG s30v is SHARP, and with a deep wire clip mixed with thin profile of a Ti framelock fits great!

Sage 2 hand down.

My most comfortable knife is my 3 inch XM-18, and it is comfy in all 3 catagories. My next most comfy knife is my DDR Trigger & Express Trigger.

Mine is pretty inexpensive compared to others listed so far but it's my Cold Steel American Lawman---the ergos (for me) are the best:thumbup::)

Comfortable to hold, Busse BWM
Comfortable to use, Scrap yard Scrapper5
Comfortable in pocket, Spyderco Caly3 CF

Best combination of all three, the Spyderco Sage1.

Only have one now, but the smaller Busse Basics(3, 4, 5) fit like they were custom made for my hand, and remain comfortable in extensive use.

My Opinel #12 is the most comfortable to hold, use, and fits nicely in my bib overall ruler pocket.

It's interesting that the knives listed don't just have great ergos, they are great knives.

Spyderco Military.

It rides nice, and the handle is super comfortable. Great blade shape, large opening hole, it could be the perfect knife! :)
