What is your most comfortable knife?

Toss up Buck Mayo TNT and Mission MPF 3, the Mission probably wins because of the whole non rust issue thing (sweat and humidity) and also it is just about the best handle I've ever run across. The thing just molds to your hand and that is tuff to do with a solid titanium handle but the ergos for me or just great.

XM18 and Yuna Mini Hard are both very comfortable in hand but my Mnandis are the most comfortable in pocket plus not too shabby in hand either.

The original Manix is my most comfortable knife although it takes up a lot of room in the pocket. The Millie is great too.

To carry: I like knives that are small, slim and light enough so that I forget I am actually carrying them until I need them. 2 of the best for this purpose are the Kershaw Leek, and the SOG Access card 2. Just slip em in my pocket, and forget about them.

To use: I love checkered Kraton handles. Cold Steel and SOG are the masters at this. It makes the knife feel like a natural extension of my hand, with a very positive, no-slip grip, and they are hands down the best shock-absorbing material ever used for knife handles. If I had to pick one in particular, the LTC Kukri by Cold Steel is perfect. For such a big blade, it is light, quick, and very 'responsive' in the hand. At least for my hand, the contours are perfect, as if it were custom molded to my specifications.

Best to hold is my Sog Aegis - handle size/shape and gimping fits well with my hand.

Best to use is my Benchmade Barrage 585 - Most well balanced.

Best to carry would be the Sog Flash 1 - Don't even know it's clipped in my pocket.

Most comfortable in the hand: this Mel Nishiuchi Persian with Wyoming Snowflake jade handles.

Most comfortable knife?

Not really sure, but when I go to compare how a knife feels in my hands I often use the Benchmade 800/804/805/806 knives as the benchmark.

This might change, though. I have been impressed with how the new 741 Onslaught feels in my hands.

My all time most comfortable folding knife I have ever owned or handled is the Ti SG2 Junkyard Dog II.

A few other very notable mentions are the Buck TNT, Sage 2, Para, and the Mini Rukus feels very good in the hand without the pocket clip.

As far as feeling good in the pocket I would have to go with the Sage 2, Buck TNT, and Bradley Alias (with a custom g10 scale on one side.)

Oddly enough, the Strider/Buck Military Folder....something about the finger coil at the base of the blade makes it easy to hold and therefore easy to use, and I have never minded carrying it.

1. Hold?
2. Use?

The shape of an Opinel nr. 8 fits my hand very well and I use it a lot for food preparation, both at home and when camping. Sometimes I also use it for preparing wood for a camp fire, to make some extra tent pegs or other things. It is light and therefore very good to use for a longer time.

3. Fit nicely in your pocket?

Smaller knives, like the alox Victorinox Soldier or other knives of similar size. It is easy to put them in the pocket and easy to get them out. They are also not very heavy. I often have enough weight in the pocket (keys, small flashlight, phone, wallet and such). Especially in the summer all items need to fit into the pocket of the jeans, since then I often don't wear a jacket.
