What is your most practical knife???

Dozier original size Folding Hunter (3 inch lade). Handles 95% of my cutting chores. (You did say knife, not screwdriver, pliers, saw, etc.)

I carry a Spyderco Toad just about everywhere I go. It's an ugly little knife(in some people's mind)with a thin, razor sharp blade that wouldn't scare a flea when opened in public. Blade skitzy women around the office think it's "cute". The littleToad isn't a heavy duty knife but it's great for every day light to medium duty cutting chores... It also perfect for butterflying shrimp for the grill when your wife's friend has nothing but super-dull knives in his/her kitchen arsenal.

My old Buck 112. The price is right, the size is right for most of my needs, it's sturdy and well made. It can go places that a 110 and most of my other knives can't (without raising eyebrows). I have much more expensive knives with top-notch materials, but the ol' 112 is indispensible.

My most practical knife is my Superknife. I work with a lot of cardboard, shrink wrap, plastic strap, and packing tape. No one bats an eye to a box cutter at my workplace but I would get some slack for pulling out a Buck or Spyderco knife.

I always carry a tiny SAK (??name) that has a pair of scissors, and my LM Wave on my belt in plain view. Never get comments from anyone. Jason.

Not taking any of my kitchen knives into account:
1- Gerber Easy Out
2- Schrade Uncle Henry (use it alot when on construction sites) busted off the blade tip and reground it; busted the scales and replaced them, and all the brass pins as well.
3- Parker 2-1/2" Liner lock - good staple remover - also use on construction sites to pin drawings to the wall.

To me SAKs in general and Victorinox Hunstman in particular, main weakness is the scales but they can be replaced or remade easily. Other utility knives such as a traditional boy scout style would take second place and a traditional stockman patttern would run a close third.

You will very rarely find me without both a SAK and a stockman, I am a Vic and Schrade man.
