What is your most used Buck fixed blade

This is a fixed blade thread so no mention of 300s, oops I guess I mentioned them......for belly opening and general small cutting the un-mentionable model above, skinning - two 103s, one a old two line. For boning and meat cutting three 118s, all three lines. Photo below 118, cutting out rib meat......300Bucks

Wow guys, thanks for all the great posts and pics. I did plan on seeing more post about the vanguard, but I guess it is not as popular as I thought. I really like the vanguard, but the only one I have right now is a 1993 Ducks Unlimited edition.

I would have liked to post a pic of my 105 in use, but I have not been able to as yet. I thought I would snap a few shots this morning and only one came out half good. I was in a hurry because my grandmother in-law's birthday was today (she turned 90 ). I was planning on using my 105 while fishing with some the kids, but I did not make it down there. Well here is a shot of some of my fixed blades that I do use or plan to use soon. (along with my EDC CS 110 ). Maybe I can get some pics of my 105 in action soon.

David ,I thought that the 112 was a folder? Did they make a 112 fixed blade?
Thanks

Hawk, Yes Buck did, its from the 50's and was then designated the 112 lite skinner. You may still find pictures of it in older literature and its listed in the club website but it looks just like the 103 with a straight back. ie. a trailing point is what you'll get after removing the hump. DM

I ended up it wishin' in was road kill. The sun melted that skiff of snow and that soil was clay which stuck to your boots and cart wheels. The 1.5 mile walk back to road got long at the end of the second trip the third was misery. "If it was easy everyone would do it" And dang it I left a knife laying there....... 300Bucks

I have three Buck fixed blades a 102, (modded)124 and a 119.
I've had the 124 the longest and it has been used the most.
I've only had the 102 for a year or so but i've used it almost as much as the 124!
The 102 is just a handy little knife.
The only thing i would change about it would be to get rid of the choil.
I use Moras a lot so i'm used to choil-less knives.
I'm seriously considering buying some 1095 or O1 carbon steel stock to make a carbon steel (choil-less) knife "inspired" by the 102 design.

Mine is the 120 I got in 69. I batoned down a plum tree with mine and it is no worse for wear. Sadly, I MAY NOT post attachments. My rep from JD must have preceded me.

All I knew was I lost the knife, I didn't know where. We were in same valley two winters after, my buddy walked by spot just to see what the bones looked like and knife was still there sticking in the ground where I left it. A little faded on the sunny side. Now my lucky knife. And I count before I leave. 300Bucks
