What is your most - USED - EDC knife?

A very simple question - what is your EDC knife that you use the most? - What task? How does it perform? What about the knife makes is the 'most used' one?

I am not asking about the best for the bang, most cool, or most loved knife, just tell us about the one you USE most.

Really curios :)

The BM 586 is one the sees the the most pocket time. I have a decent rotation, but this one is noticeably carried more often. The size, shape, materials, and looks just seem to work for me. Typical use it cutting fruit for lunch, other food stuffs, cutting the odd zip-tie now and then, opening boxes, stuff like that. Stuff that really needs a super steel like M390 for sure. lol. It works great, nice grind, gets real sharp, 3" blade is plenty for my uses. I don't need M390 and would probably notice no difference between 154CM, but I like having it either way.

On the weekends I have been carrying my 550 most often. Really like the ergos, and it is actually one of the smoothest folders I have. And locks up extremely solid. This one is used for mostly the same stuff, but I don't hesitate to use it for other slightly rougher tasks. No examples that come to mind right now though, maybe some wood carving. It is a little thick behind the edge, so more of a hard use knife than EDC. I like lighter, thinner knives for normal carry. I work a desk, so no real hard use on the job is needed.

I don't have a pic, but it would be my Kershaw One Ton. It has been a little neglected lately as I've brought newer knives (ZT, Cold Steel, Kizer) into the rotation, but it has seen the most and hardest use. To my surprise, while other knives made with 7Cr/8Cr steel have needed touching up fairly often, the One Ton's 8Cr13MoV has held its factory edge so far.

For various cutting tasks around my shop and in my yard I'm using a Spyderco Gayle Bradley. I carry it in a small black ballistic nylon belt case. My wife bought it for me as a gift and it replaced a Spyderco Stretch ZDP 189 because it was a little heavier.

Al Mar Sere 2K. Used it for years and years. Cuts heavy duty plastic bands and jugs, tons of plate packages (cardboard impregnated with aluminum), tons of cardboard and paper, scrapes off stuck on deposits on machinery, etc. at my job. It's seen very heavy use.

This is DAILY. For years.

It has very little blade coating left, and practically no coating on the clip. It's full of dings, and the G10 is so worn it's completely smooth (It has no traction at all). But, it still opens smooth as glass and locks up like a bank vault with an authoritative CLACK!

I only recently started rotating a few other knives into the mix (in the last few years).

Used the most?

That would be my work knife. 9 hours a day, 5 days a week for the past 11 months.

I wear bulky work gloves when working, and the Military is the perfect knife for gloved use.

It has cut everthing from shrinkwrap to conveyor belt. Even been used for reasonable prying tasks.

Outside of work I had been carrying a Paramiliary 2. An Emerson mini CQC 15 has taken over that role for the time being.

Seems like I have been finding reasons to post this pic a lot lately. My most carried, used, and abused knife is an Emerson commander. The reason is that it fits my hand perfectly. It is tough as nails. Takes everything I have thrown at and laughed. I am sure there are thousands of others that will do the same but I have never handled another that inspires the confidence to use it to the limits and not think twice about it.

For me it is my smallest knife - ZDP189 Ladybug. Not because of sheeple. The thinness & sharpness of the blade makes it an ideal box/package/envelope opener/ pill splitter.

My Brad Southard AVO. I bought it about Xmas and have carried it every day this year, and used it for everything.

Small CF Insingo. I carry and use this at least four times as much as any other knife I own. I wasn't a fan of the large insingo, but the small is perfect. The CF and the blade hold up well, it doesn't even look used yet.

I do HVAC and carry an Endura FFG every day and that bad boy can WORK!!
Ran a couple of supply runs yesterday and the large blade made cutting 4" flex duct an absolute joke.

The EDC is a Camillus 4-line Army Engineer's knife, which is in a standard 4-blade camper/scout pattern. (In my pocket, even as I type...) It's the middle item here:

It's accompanied most days by a dark green Vic Classic, which has a complementary blade set. Between these two, I'm as prepared as necessary!

I actually only own one "EDC" knife, and its been that way since I got it ... 3 years ago?

Boker Exskelimoor II. 2.75in 440c blade, oak handles, one hand opening, liner lock, pocket clip. Ticks all my boxes, and has worked well for me, but admittedly I don't use my folders hard (office worker).

Not my photo, but one I found online of the same model.

My Opinel #6 gets used a fair bit as well. At work they bring fruit in once or twice a week, and the Opinel is a very non-threatening "apple" knife (I have fake front teeth, and can't just bite them). But beyond that, the Boker gets used for all my box opening, thread trimming, fingernail trimming, cardboard cutting, etc.

Since my main blade changes so frequently, I guess I'm going to have to say my Leatherman Style PS or Victorinox Pioneer, both of which are on me no matter what. I've been on a small fixed blade kick lately, but if you were to pick any random day over the past ten years, it would more likely than not be a Spyderco folder.

My roadhouse and my ZT0350 are equally roughed up. From dailey utility cutting to field dressing and skinning deer and other critters, repeated sharpening, cutting wire, scraping debris underneath mower deck ect.

My most used is a Franken-Spyderco Manix 2. I bought this one used- black G10 and M4 blade. I carry it a lot on weekends because I'm likely to be doing handyman stuff around the house and I figure it is one of the toughest blades I have. Weekdays I rotate through my knives so it may be 3 weeks before I get back around to any individual knife, but this one might get carried every weekend. I've been trying to transition from it to the Cruwear version of the Manix 2.

Warms my heart to see that in this thread my friend. Here's my most used edc:
