What is your Most used SAK tool!

Substitute in Swiss Card for SAK:
1 Knife Blade
2 Scissors
3 Tweezers
4 Nail File (use it as a standard screw driver...LOL)
5 Pen

I change my SAK almost daily. The most useed tools in the city are probably the caplifter/screwdriver thingy and the scissors. In the woods, it's probably the saw.

Good thread:cool:

I carry my Vic "Farmer" and seem to use the awl, and blade most. Blade for stripping/cutting wire, and the awl seems to get used for just about anything. Amazing what you can use it for:D

Thats the most humanoid version of Mr. Burns I've ever seen. Good stuff! Oh and edc Swisstool RS/Spirit, most used, beer opener while watching Simpsons. Eeeexcellent.

If I did EDC a SAK the most used tool would be the nose hair trimmer/nail clipper/scissors. My Wave has one of those though.

Supposedly it is designed to tighen laces on boots. I tried it, it does actually work but seems like that is the most unused tool on a SAK.

I even forgot all about it.

I'll second what he said, too. If I'm not cutting open something, then the bottle opener/screw driver is opening a beer, prying open something too strong for fingernails.

I favor my old pioneer, and tinker.

well i thought i carried a vic soldier but it's not that. it is the same as a soldier except no shackle or hollow rivet, it has the liner that goes to a split ring. red alox scales, well they were red at one time. help. anyway carried it for years and the large screwdriver blade gets the most use. great little knife. later, ahgar
I can't believe i don't know what model knife i carry, dang.

Thats the old pioneer. A great model, and mine was red once too! The new pioneers are just like the soldier with the silver alox, but with the split ring.

So surprised that no one else has mentioned the money clip. I use it every time I peel off a few bills. Yes, I actually carry cash.In addition, I constantly use the scissors, nail file, and main blade. The other use is an unusual one. The scales are a smooth satin finish, and I sometimes use them to twirl the knife in my fingers, sort of like a good small rubbing stone. It seems to calm the savage beast in me. I like the silver colored one. I've given them for gifts, and buy them in multiples, so as to have backups when I lose one. I've found them well priced at Campmore in New Jersey. They range from $19-$26

Depends whish SAK I carry that day.

The small screwdriver gets used a LOT to tweak settings. Only have 2 with corkscrews though. The bit driver on my cybertool gets used quite a bit. Usually end up using the blade on my sak to strip wires rather than cause a stampede using a spydie to strip wires.

Used the bottle opener a few dozen times, used the can opener a few times rather than search for a real one.

Wenger Commander
Vnox Cybertool 29, Huntsman Plus, Climber
and one of the 7-8 classics that I have(keychain, firstaid kit, glovebox, ashtray, 2 in my bag for gifts, and a few more in my storage)

Probably use the pliers on my LM Juice s2 5-6times a day

If it's my Tinker, I use the blade most often followed by the phillips screwdriver. If it's my charming copy in stainless, the scissors and phillips screwdriver are most used.

Great thread, Chris!

I carry a Cadet and use all the blades alot. Forced to pick one used the most I'd say the can opener/screwdriver, and I've never opened a can with it. :)

I guess I'm abnormal here. Cash is all I carry. I don't have any type of banking, checking or savings account whatsoever either.

jackknife you are a saint and a scholar, i appreciate the info. i'll have to start singing the praises of the old pioneer. later, ahgar
