Not sure if there has been a thread about this or not, but I though it would be interesting to see what everyone's most used knife is. Not your favorite knife, or your "if I could have only one" knife, as these may not always be your most used. For example, for me, if I had to pick only one to keep it would be the Case pen yellar that my boy gave me, but this isn't my most used for fear of messing it up or losing it. My most used is a Schrade/ Walden 34 OT . So, what knives are you guys using the most?

Case Sway Back Jack CV. The Wharncliffe blade just seems to work so well for what I use a knife for.

I was a chef for a while, so it would have to be my Whustof 8" chef knife. Many, many hours spent with that knife in my hand.

Do inherited knives count? I guess "used" by me is the point?

Cross between an old Kutmaster stockman, with delrin scales; and a Vic blue alox farmer. It's lost most of it's blue ;).

My most used is a Case large stockman, worked with for three years on a produce farm and a couple on a dairy farm.
It was a great knife to have in the field, really got a great chance to test Case's stainless.

Theres a little less blade left then on this pic.

Probably my scagel fruitport has the most hours logged out of my traditionals. Been a great knife so far.

One of my Vic SAKS,either my Climber or Huntsman.Though I have been using my Case Damascus Peanut alot lately.

now it is my wenger s10, I only got it a few weeks ago but end up using it for something just about everyday. I have found the SAK comes it very useful for everyday things you just dont think about, and I would have never used the previous lock blade I was carrying for.

My Kershaw Ken Onion Scallion spring assist is extremely useful to me. I have had it for about 4 years now and it is still the knife I reach for when I need one around the house. It has these little rounded serrations on the bottom half of the blade that are razor sharp. It opens fast and locks really tight, I oil every now and then and sharpen it sparsely. I love that it is small, and because I value my other knives so much I would rather put most of the wear on a cheaper but sturdy Kershaw. I really want a leek.

As for the knife I could not live without. I am a balisong lover so I would have to choose one of those. I know a fixed blade, (Randall model1) is more practical but I really love the lock on a balisong and you could play with it forever. So BM42 (titanium), Kimura V ( heavy duty), or my BM 51 (tool Steel).

Folks, let's keep it on topic with TRADITIONAL knives as befitting this sub-forum. Thank you.

I'd have to say my Buck 301 stockman in yeller derlin is my most used I'm realy pretty fond of Buck's 420hc it can take a scary sharp edge and hold it for a reasonable amount of time and can easily be resharpened by hand.

My most used knife by far is my Case xx Caribbean blue trapper. My most treasured knife is the MOP swayback with my name on it that my wife got me. The trapper is my work knife and I have carried this one since 2005. My previous was a 1998 purple bone trapper that I carried until 2005. In fact, the purple one was my first Case knife. These two are plumbing knives and they get a work out!

Since Christmas, I've adopted a policy of changing my EDC about every week, so I could enjoy more of my nice knives.
But over the last 2-3 years, this one has been in my pocket more than any other: Queen #06L Teardrop Linerlock in amber stag bone.

For whatever reason, most of the single blade knives I carry are lockers, but now I seem to prefer 2-blade jacks or stockmen.

This one gets just about more pocket time than any. I have knives that are a lot nicer, but this one is worn and grumpy like me, so we make a good team.

50's Era Western "Carpenters Special"

General pattern: Stockman, any one of at least two dozen I currently have.

Mostly used knife, within that pattern: Usually a Case 6.5 bonestag large CV Stockman, or Camillus/Remington green large Stockman (carbon blades [0170-6], of course), or U.S. Schrade 8OT.
